Caroline looked at Angel in amazement and giggled. "My my....you are...Angel you're practically radioactive...and watch the art project," She said covering the squash with her hand as if Angel wouldn't touch it if he couldn't see it. "This guy must be pretty cool. If he's making you attack innocent vegatables."
"There's gotta be a singing and dancing lettuce out there somewhere..."Caroline lost herself in thought for a moment and then pratically jumped out of her seat and called out, "The Muppets! The lettuce sings in the Muppets. Right before the Swedish Chef kills them...kinda morbid isn't it?"

"I am not...am I? He's just a friend," Angel repeated just to make sure she knew. "We don;t know that squash is innocent," he pointed out, a mock-serious expression on his face. He didn;t comment on how cool Tommy was or wasn't.
"Those guys always made me sad! I always thought it would be Oscar who snapped...commited mass murder. The Swedish chef was jolly," he let out a deep sigh before bursting into laughter.

Caroline let the "just a friend" comment go. The fact that Angel was talking this much told her that no matter who this Tommy guy was he was a good influence. And she wasn't about to embaress him out of it. "I'm pretty sure the squash is innocent..." She picked up the squash and looked it carefully. "Nope...I detect no dastardly little moustaches that curl up at the ends. So I'd say that this veggie is evil free."
Caroline laughed along with him. "Oscar snapping...well yeah I can't imagine that living in a garbage can is a pleasent experience. And his best friend is a worm...yeah that guy got some social issues. But yeah...the Swedish chef has it easy...but who knows. We don't know what he's saying. Maybe he's discussing how he's on his last rope and is killing veggies to make himself feel alive...or something...like that." She rolled her eyes at herself. "Sometimes I don't even know where my brain is."

Angel snorted, covering his mouth. "God help the world if you ever get into law...or rather, god help all the poor little men with curly mustaches," he winked at her, and drew a moustache on his drawing. "Are you gonna prosecute my orange?" he asked innocently.
"I will now never look at the poor old Swedesh chef the same way. Thanks," he said with a smirk.

Caroline giggled furiously her shoulder shaking. "Yes I would! Look he's dastardly!" She calmed herself down and then continued, "I would be a horrible lawyer. Can you imagine. I'd walk into court with two different color socks on and the jury would consider me guilty. Then I would start talking to the stengrapher as if he were the judge...or...too many possibilities for my latent ADD to show itself," She explained.
"You're welcome," Caroline said with an overly sweet smile. "I like to dash the hopes and dreams of the youth."

"Of course he is," he laughed, adding a top hat and a monocle. "I'm sorry...I gotta agree with you on that one. I wouldn't pay you. I might run away screaming though," he shrugged with a small laugh, giving his orange a cane. "He's Mr Peanut!"
"You're too kind," he replied dryly, another smile threatening to make itself known.

"Oh running away screaming. Now that's something that I'd want from my professional career. I think that's a bad thing in a cases...unless you're like a...like a scary person for hire. You know? Like maybe around Halloween you get paid to jump out at people on hay rides...that I could see. But the rest of the year would just be boring and you'd have to make all of your money stretch out..." Caroline caught her rambling brain and put it back in her head. "Sorry...it ran away."
She leaned over and laughed quietly. "It is Mr. Peanut! I should have made my lettuce dance...then they could be friends."

"Happens to me all the time, don't worry," he said with a laugh, erasing the extra features on his orange. "I wouldn't want to be a haunted house guy...I'd feel too bad about scaring people."
"Next time we draw vegetables," Angel assured her, erasing all but the moustache. "I should hand it in like this."

"Aw but if that was your job...and I mean, when you go to those type of places, you are asking to be scared. So technically you'd be doing them a service," Caroline pointed out. "Bye Mr. Peanut Orange..." That reminded her that her squash was still in the outline phase. "Oops...I'm working really..." She went back to the drawing.
Caroline giggled. "You should. For some reason, I really don't think that Mr. Sung would mind." She paused for a moment to pull up her long unruly hair with a rubber band that she had around her wrist.

"Yeah...but I wouldn't want to be the subject of a little kid's nightmare, you know?" he told her. He loved kids...all ages really. He couldn't understand how anyone would want to scare them for a living. "Yeah, sure," he replied with a grin, stealing one more glance at the clock.
"Why would he? Isn't creativity an important thing to have? And this thing...this is creative to say the least," he tilted his head as he added hair, feet, eyes...he knew he'd never work up the courage to actualy hand it in like that, but it was fun all the same.

Caroline smiled gently and nodded. "To tell you the truth Angel...I don't think you could be scary even if you tried. No offense...you're just too sweet. Which is a good thing...." She watched him look at the clock. This guy really must be important. Caroline's smiled widened. If only she was all about that too. Out to meet some girl who she could tip toe through the tulips with. She shook her head. She was happy for Angel. "Only five minutes..." She said quietly.
"Exactly," Caroline giggled to herself. "I'm sure he'd enjoy it. Hey, maybe you could help with the new invention of some type of nut. Orange flavored. Then you would get, like, five million gajillian dollars and you could take this guy out all the time."

"None taken...you're probably right," Angel assured her with a nod. "It's okay though...I'll live without being a proffessional scare...er? I don't even know the right term," he said with a grin, putting his supplies away. "I'll figure it out one day...along with the correct plural of squash."
"I don't even know if he'd want to go out with me all the time," Angel shrugged, his foot tapping against the floor gently. "Could live with the money though."

Caroline laughed quietly. "Let me know when you find that all out," She winked at Angel and smiled deeply. "Pssah Angel...if this guy is who he seems to be than he'll wanna follow you around...but in a non-stalking way." She added on wrinkling her nose.
Mr. Sung waved his hands around. "When the bell rings-" The bell rang. He frowned. "Ok, now that it has rang, everyone work on your shading for homework and be ready to have your work looked at my moi. Thanks guys, have a good day!"
Caroline smiled and dropped her squash in her bookbag. "Well...I hope you have fun, Ang," She said sincerly.

"You think?" Angel asked with a smile that was steadily getting bigger. He wasn't the type to cry in his pillow because no one was interested. But if someone was...that wasn't so bad either. He shrugged.
"Thanks...see you tomorrow," he smiled towards his friend, pulling on his backpack as he stood. Well..here goes...something, he thought to himself as he waved to Mr. Sung and headed out the door.

"Bye! Good luck!" Caroline called after him waiting. Then she took a deep breath. "Time to go home and check on Jonas..." She threw her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the room. A head ache was starting to form but she tried to ignore it, maybe it would go away. But the screams of her baby brother were sure to make it get worse. "Wonderful."
