Eric squeezed her hand. "You have nothing to apologize for, Lilia," he said. "I had a wonderful day with you, and I really hope we can do it again some time." Arriving at his car, he once again opened the door for her, waiting until she was seated before closing it behind her and sliding into the driver's seat.

Lilia smiled. Being with Eric was the most fun Lilia had had in a long, long time. "Thank you so much. This is the best day I've had in a long time," Lilia said. "We really should do this again. It was so much fun." She closed her eyes as Eric shut her door. As much fun as she'd had, it had also been exhausting.

Eric started the car and headed out of the school parking lot. He drove in silence for a while, before a thought popped into his head. "Are you going to homecoming?" he asked. He was going with Cathrine, but he really didn't want to be. If Lilia was going, too, perhaps he could ditch Cathrine and spend the night with Lilia.

"I don't know yet. Maybe," Lilia replied. "I don't really know anyone other than you." She looked out the window for a while. "But I guess that would be as good a place as any to meet people, right?" she asked.
Lilia really wasn't sure about the idea of a dance; she knew that she would probably end up sitting alone all night. But it could be fun, she thought.

"You should come," he said, trying not to sound too desperate. "I can introduce you to some of my friends," He wondered briefly if he should mention Cathrine, but he didn't want to complicate things more.

Lilia smiled. "Sure. Why not?" she said, smiling. She sighed as they pulled up outside of her house. "Well then. I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow," she said. She opened her door and got out of the car. Before she walked towards the house, she turned around and looked through the window at him. "Thanks, Eric. For everything."

"See you tomorrow," he said with a huge smile. "I'm really looking forward to math class now!" He rolled down his window as she walked towards her house, calling out, "Good night, Lilia. Don't forget to call me if you need anything."
Eric watched Lilia until she disappeared into the house. Sighing happily, he backed out of her driveway and headed home.
