"Ah man, are you okay? Well at least you didn't break anything," He said looking at his friend's ankle. It didn't look that bad but you could tell Mark was in pain.
"Sure golden boy, listen to the stage manager over here. We better not upset him.." He smiled. "Pranks...hmm haven't thought of any but we'll talk about that later.." He looked at Tommy. He knew that this would be hard for him but he was there to support his friend.

Mark smiled. "I'll be fine. I just have to suck it up for a while, that's all," he replied.
Mark smiled again, this time somewhat evilly. "I really shouldn't..." he began. "What were you guys talking about? Am I going to be let in on this secret?"

"Well if you ever need a piggy back ride..." Tommy looked over to Roger and grabbed his shoulder, "Roger will be sure to help you with that," He teased them both with a wink. Sometimes picking on both of his friends was way too much fun. "I'll make sure that he doesn't drop your ass," He added sentimentally.
Tommy listened to Roger and then forrowed his brow. He was going to wait for a better time, but Roger seemed to have cued the coming out parade. In response he grumbled some unpleasent words under his breath and looked at Mark. "Well you ain't the only one who has been left out on it. Since...a few weeks ago, I was the only one who knew..." He gulped and then crossed his arm, "Did you...see me by any chance at the dance? And...you know...who I as with?" Even if Mark didn't know Angel, he would at least be able to tell that he was a guy.

Roger shrugged Tommy's hand off his shoulder. "Oh right, let me do all the work while you just watch. Well let's just put Mark in a wheelchair, problem solved," He smirked. Then he noticed that maybe he shouldn't have looked at Tommy. He felt bad for making it seem like Tommy had to tell their friend now.

Mark couldn't help but laugh. "No thanks. I don't do wheelchairs if I can help it. I've got crutches around here somewhere," Mark replied.
"The dance?" Mark asked. He thought for a moment and then shook his head, blushing. "I was sort of distracted that night. I didn't really notice much of anything."

Tommy chuckled and sighed, "Okay, no piggy backing then. I wouldn't want you to stoop so low to get into a wheelchair," He winked at Mark, teasing him.
"Oh..." Tommy was hoping that Mark noticed so the whole thing could be much easier. But it was the last time he was going to have to do this...so he better just go do it. He took a deep breath, "Of course you were distracted...Maureen and all." He grinned and then bit his lip, "I went with...I went with a guy. My...my boyfriend." He watched Mark hoping that he would put two and two together.

Mark rolled his eyes. "Thanks, Tommy. But I'll be fine. It isn't the first time I've managed to hurt myself, and I'm sure it won't be the last," Mark replied.
Mark thought back to the dance as Tommy spoke. He'd known that something unusual was going on, but he'd been too absorbed in what was going on with Maureen to really notice it. He raised an eyebrow at first when Tommy said something about going with a guy, but then what he meant sunk in. "Really? I... I didn't know that," Mark replied. He wasn't really uncomfortable with it, he just wasn't really sure what to say to his friend.

Tommy only chuckled at his friend. Mark did seem to redefine the term "accident prone." But then again, it was one of the reasons why he loved him. It made up the tapestery that was Mark Cohen.
"Yeah, I did," Tommy said putting his hands into his pockets, then taking Mark's silence for uncomfortable disapproval. He should have known that things wouldn't be so simple. It was a miracle that Benny was the only one who ran away in fear. "I've been meaning to tell all of you, but you know, not really something simple to say. That's why I was over Maureen's when you called her. My parents kicked me out. For the time being."

Mark just nodded. "I understand why you wouldn't. I mean, that's got to be a hard thing to tell people," Mark replied. When Tommy told him that was the reason he had been at Maureen's house, things began to click into place. "Well, if you ever get tired of Maureen, there's always my place. We can't tell my parents, though. They'd probably freak out and send me to reform school or something," he replied, trying to lighten the mood. He realized that his moment of indecision had given Tommy the wrong message, but wasn't sure how to undo the damage.

"Not simple," Tommy nodded slowly realizing that he pretty much told his friends in all different ways. And his parents...well that was an alternative method. As Mark offered Tommy his place to stay, the worry on Tommy's face turned quickly into a smile. "That would...thanks, Mark. Really...thank you. It's...good to know I got some good friends." He said nodding to Roger and then Mark. "So...you're ok with...you know, it?" He asked Mark just to make sure.

Mark smiled, glad to know that Tommy had realized his meaning. "I'm just glad you trust me enough to tell me. And what are friends for?" he asked smiling. "Of course I'm okay with it. It isn't like how I feel would change how you feel anyway. So when do we get to meet this guy?" Mark asked.

Tommy finally relaxed and leaned against the backstage walls. It was done. He was finally out to everyone he cared about. No more worrying or anything. His smile grew, "Thanks, man. I really do mean that. As for Angel..." He looked over to Roger, "The two of us were thinking that we could have a triple date you know? Roger and April, you and Maureen, and Angel and me. Might be fun." Although it was also an oppertunity to watch Mark squirm, it would be nice to have most of the people that Tommy cared about in one room.

Mark just nodded at Tommy's idea... he didn't want to admit that it kind of freaked him out. He was already nervous enough around Maureen. The last thing he probably needed was to be with her and his friends at the same time. But he would do it, just because he knew Maureen would like the idea. "Yeah, that could work. I'll ask Maureen, see if she would want to do that some time," he replied.

Roger was happy that Mark took the new infomation well and didn't start to freak out. Roger looked at Tommy and Mark, "Yea I know April will be up for it, but are you sure Mark? I mean we don't want to make you all embarrassed or really nervous..well as much as we would love to see you squirm, we don't want you to go not ready, if you know what I mean."

"We do love to see you squirm," Tommy echoed with a nod. It was the truth. "But yeah...if your gonna puke your dinner up cause you're so nervous, we can skip it. Really." Although it was fun to pick on Mark, he didn't wanna give the kid a panic attack. "We could always just...take it slow. You, me, and Angel. You, Roger, and April. Baby steps towards the goal." He gave his two friends the thumbs up.
"Oh crap...look at what time it is..." He frowned. "Looks like we better head over to practice, Marky. See you around Rog, okay? And thanks!" Collins grabbed Mark by the front of his shirt and tugged in the direction of their rehearsal space.
