Lilly sat against the grass, leaning her back against the brick wall. She'd wait in the courtyard every day for her brother- he often gave her a ride home after school. He'd meet up with his friends, hang out...she'd work on homework or take a mental snapshot of the sky to paint later. But today there was nothing interesting to look at and no homework she could do outside.

Dwayne, for one, was relieved to finally be out of the classrooms. Now it was just him and the courtyard on a beautiful day. Of course, he was waiting for Caroline, but there was no telling what that girl would get herself tied up with within the next half hour.
He glanced around for a moment to notice a rather pretty blonde, seeming bored. He couldn't help but smile, but for the moment, he imagined Caroline scolding him once again for his chronic dating. Ignoring said doubts, he walked over. "Hi there."

"Hey," Lilly answered, not bothering to look up to see who the voice belonged to. She had busied her hands with her drawing pad for class, doodling random designs in the corner of the page. She honestly didn't care who was talking to her- unless it was her brother, and that wasn't his voice.

Dwayne's brow furrowed as he glanced at her notepad. "Nice...you an artist?" he asked casually. He sort of wished that she'd look up, but he was willing to be patient.

"Kind of, I guess," Lilly responded, shrugging. She didn't look up still...he had an interesting voice, though, and she was willing to listen. "It's warm today."

"Yeah, it is...and sunny. All around nice day, so let's be happy that we're out of the school, shall we?" He smiled weakly, knowing that he probably sounded utterly lame.

Cathrine hummed a tune as she walked to the courtyard...then groaned at who she saw...Dwayne. Ugh...the guy who dumped her just because she hated gay freaks. Then she saw Lilly...oh, brother...Dwayne must be REALLY desprete.
"Well," said Cathrine to Dwayne, "Look who we have here...the guy who dumped me because I wouldn't join the fag allience." That what all her friends called it; the fag allience, so, she obviously did too.

"I don't know, I don't really like this kind of weather." Lilly looked up, her green eyes catching with his brown ones for a quick moment. She returned to her book, waiting for his response.

Dwayne was about to say something before he heard a familiar, snotty, bigoted voice. His fists clenched as he glanced up. "Oh lovely; the girl I dumped for being a bitch." Honestly, just when he was talking to someone interesting, that little brat was trying to treat him like crap.

Lilly rolled her eyes. "Oh please, Cathrine. You have nothing better do than stalk me?"

Cathrine rolled her eyes. "Dwayne," she said, "I was never being a bitch; you just HAD to join that fag allience group and I said no to it...like every NORMAL person would."
"Lilly," said Cathrine, "I think it's YOU whose stalking ME...not the other way around...you're just jelous of my popularity," she said with a hair toss

Dwayne glared toward Cathrine. "Look, I've been in the club since I came to this school. I just never told you until then. And being normal is extremely overrated Cathrine" he responded coolly, although his eyes were practically burning holes into Cathrine's blonde hair.
He glanced back toward the girl. "She's been bugging you?"

Lilly rolled her eyes. "Only since the day she started breathing." Her eyes drifted upwards to the spot of chocolate still in her hair.

"Being normal ISN'T overated!" said Cathrine, crossing her arms and ignoring Lilly, "I've worked hard to get the popularitay staus I have now! And here you were, accepting those fags who wear makeup and kiss other men and I was supposed to be happy for you!"

"Join the club" Dwayne muttered, rolling his eyes before looking back at Cathrine. "Sorry to say, but she'd have to be mentally challenged to be jealous of you. And it sure as hell doesn't seem like it, so I'm glad that she has some intelligence in her."
"As for supporting them, why wouldn't I? I think you need to get your ideas out of goddamn witch hunter mode!"
