Dwayne was pretty glad to get out of the building. It had been a criminally long day and he was just about ready to collapse right there. Even if Lilly wasn't going to meet him, he was going to make the most of the rest of the day. At least in the point of getting his mind off of anything school related.

It turned out Lilly didn't have rehearsal. It was actually supposed to be the following Thursday. So, like every other day, she headed out to the courtyard to hopefully catch Dwayne before he left. She smirked when she spotted him across the way.
Lilly ran up behind him and covered his eyes. "Guess who?" she whispered darkly, laying a small kiss on the back of his neck.

Dwayne's eyes widened even though they were being covered. "Lilly! Hey! I thought you had rehearsal." He turned around, obviously quite pleased. Now it was inevitable. School would be off his mind. He kissed her lightly. "Not that I'm not extremely glad you're here."

"It's next Thursday, I found out. I'm extremely glad I'm here." Lilly kissed him back, making an effort to hold it longer than usual. "Hoped I'd find you. Good thing I did. How was last hour?"

Dwayne shrugged a bit. "Same old, same old. I was pretty much suffocating out of boredom. I do believe you just reversed the damage, however, so no need to worry." He wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

Lilly smiled. "Oh, that's good. Was hoping I could perk you up. Anything on your agenda this afternoon? I finished my homework, so I'm cool for awhile. I mean, I'll have to call mom and tell her I won't be back until later, but...I'm yours today, if you want me."

Dwayne grinned widely at her statement. "I always will..." He stroked her cheek lightly with his thumb and kissed her. "Anyway, I'm not..." Suddenly he heard his cell phone ringing. He sighed a bit. "Damn attached mother..." He loved her, of course, but did she really need to call him everytime he didn't first? "Hang on...hello?"
"Dwayne, honey, aren't you forgetting something?"
"What?" Dwayne raised an eyebrow, getting annoyed to say the least.
"College applications?" Dwayne blinked and then groaned. "Hon, come on. You have to do it."
Dwayne sighed. "Okay, okay..."
"That's my soldier boy...oh wait! You're with that Lilly girl right? Why don't you bring her over? You could probably use the help and plus, I want to meet her."
Dwayne smiled weakly. It was better than nothing. "Okay then...I'll talk to her. See you Mom..." He hung up, glancing toward Lilly. "Feel like coming over?"

Lilly grinned. "Only all the time! I'm guessing you have an agenda now, don't you? I'm going to have to call my mom and tell her, but otherwise, you're golden. I'll call in the car." She stroked his cheek slowly as she looked up at him. How did he get to be so good-looking?!

Dwayne chuckled, holding her free hand. "Well, don't get too excited. My mother's making me fill out college applications and she insists on meeting you." He bit his lip, hoping that she wouldn't mind. "If it were my choice, that wouldn't be what we're going to do."

Lilly nodded. She didn't mind the meeting his mother part, but college...He was leaving. Sure, it was a ways away, and a lot happens in a year. But the prospect of him leaving made her a little sad. She smiled anyways. "No, it's fine. I really want to go. Besides, you'll probably need some help, right?"

Dwayne sighed of relief. "Probably...thanks so much." He kissed her on the forehead. "So, shall we get going." He was already holding onto her arm and leading her toward where he parked his car. He didn't really want to think about what the applications meant.
