"Yeah, I know Caroline," Angel nodded. He'd still have to think of somehow to repay her. But how? How could you repay someone for basically taking a huge weight off his shoulders? He'd figure it out. "I don't know her best friend, though."

"Basically...he's gorgeous, and he's really sweet. Mark hates him." Lilly rolled her eyes. "Can't win on all accounts, but hey...I can hardly keep my mind on the class, so I guess in some strange, twisted universe, it's a good thing."

"Sounds like a good thing," Angel nodded. It was nice to see Lilly with someone. The guy had to be okay if he had that sort of affect on her. "But Mark doesn't like him?" he asked, tilting his head.

"No, he doesn't...See, he's kind of got a history with girls...Mark is *so* not okay with that. I think he's jealous, personally," Lilly added, smirking, "but you can't know for sure. Not with Mark, anyway."

"What type of history...?" Angel asked. He knew it was none of his business. It really really wasn't. But Lilly deserved to be happy, and if this was the type of guy who just broke girl's hearts...he had no idea if that was the case, of course. "I mean...did he break up with them? Or the other way around?"

"He broke up with them," Lilly told Angel, a tiny frown crossing her face. As it did so, she crossed her fingers. "But hey, you know...worth some wishing, right? And it's not like it's a ton, really...it's not that many..." She bit her lip.

"Umm...do you know how many?" Angel asked quietly, biting harder on the inside of his lip. It was absolutely none of his business. But if this guy was just gonna hurt Lilly...that wouldn't be fair. Silently he thanked whatever was up there that both him and Tommy were new at the whole...relationship thing.

Lilly bit her lip harder, her teeth leaving a little crease in the front. "...eight? Oh, Angel, what am I getting myself into!?" She bumped her head on the math book, Miss Dale looking up from her spot at her own desk momentarily.

"Eight?" Angel repeated, his eyebrows raising. "He broke up with eight girls...?" Swallowing hard, he tried to smile. What did he know, anyway? He'd never even met the guy! But...breaking up with eight girls...was kind of a tell tale sign of his character. "Well...I don't know...who am I to judge? I've never even met him. Maybe he's changed..."

"I told you, I'm crossing my fingers. He seems like such a good guy, though. God, Angel, he says the sweetest things..." Lilly sighed. "You know what? You should ask him or something. You need to meet him anyway. I will find him and you will meet him and that will be that." She looked up at the clock. "Ten minutes, thank god."

"I'm sure he is a nice guy," he agreed. Though he couldn't stop his mind from adding, for now. It just seemed so typical...and he hoped that if he was a jerk, Lilly would know enough to walk away. "Sure. And you can meet Tommy, too," he added, his mind travelling over to more pleasent thoughts. "Really?" he asked, looking towards the clock, his whole face lighting up a bit.

"Mmhm, really." Lilly smiled. "I don't want to go to French, either." She laughed at this. "Oh well. Ten short minutes, and then I'll see you at lunch. April, too." She glanced over at April. "Girl seems pretty eager to get her homework done...I'll ask her about it later."

"Ten short minutes till gym," Angel whispered, watching the clock. Why did seconds have to be so long? He was kind of aware of Dale assigning pages in the textbook and he lazily scribbled them down. He'd probably do it...he had to do homework sometime. He was just glad gym wasn't exactly an intellectual class. Otherwise with Tommy in his class, he'd probably fail.

"Seven minutes..." Lilly mumbled absentmindedly. She wanted to get as much of her homework done as possible and had, during their conversation, scribbled the answers to about half of the work. Her answers were probably wrong, but she didn't care. As long as it was done- Dale didn't check for correctness, just completion.

Angel made an impatient sound in the back of his throat, reasting his head on the desk. He'd do the work at home. He still couldn't get his mind off Tommy. It was pathetic, he knew, but...he couldn't help it. It was his first time! He was allowed to be impatient. Even if it wasn't...Tommy was just that amazing. But then again, he was also worth waiting for. But wasn't seven minutes sort of cruel? Come on. You lasted the whole day, you can last another seven...six minutes. Hopefully.
Angel drew a circle around the page numbers, hispencil wandering around the page to create random doodles. He tried not to look at the clock...easier said than done.
