Caroline nodded. "No problem." Then she chuckled at Airi's "mother-voice." "Well I would think that she's right. You probably learn. But I can't imagine that that would make this comfortable. Not really. But yeah, ask questions if you got them. And I'll help you make sense of the less than sensical language. Or try to."
Caroline finished up teh drawing of her ring and then turned to a new fresh piece of paper. Although she liked how the sketch was turning out, she didn't have the heart to shade it. Not yet at least. "Umm...something still lifey..." She went into her book bag and pulled out a calculator and started up on that.

"Yes...but actually doing it was a little intimidating." she added.
"A calculator?" she asked, "That'll be an interesting drawing."
Sha added some shading and shine to the eyes of each animal in her drawing. This was turning out better than she thought it would.

"I'm sure," Caroline said with nods. "Americans are kinda annoying. I know, I am one...and I'm not stupid about it. I don't know where I should go. Country wise. Maybe...I don't know...India. I'll have to do traveling when I get older...if I can afford it that is," She replied with a shrug.
Caroline grinned and shrugged. "Just thought it would be something that hsan't been done. Making all of the boxes might get boring though," She pointed out. Caroline traced some of the numbers and smirked. "Is it bad that I'm using the calculator more in this class than I ever do in math?"

"Not that really..." she sighed, "Lots of people just talk really quick."
She smiled and put her pencil down next to her paper, My hand's starting to hurt.
"You're right about that. I think I'd get...Carpal Tunnel." she agreed, "I think I said that right." she added.

"Ah yeah," Caroline said with a nod. "That too..." She blushed a bit, hating it when she missed the mark. Which she did often.
"Yep you did. Carpal Tunnnel. The fun stuff," Caroline smirked.

"Of course...I had many American friends backin Japan and several of them said we all sounded like we were on fast forward." she added.
"Alright. It's a little embarassing to say it wrong..." she laughed.

Caroline nodded. "I heard that that was an all around thing. I know it sounds like they're talking a mile a minute on those Telemundo shows. But then again maybe if I knew a bit of the language it would be good. All I remember from middle school is bathroom and head for some reason. I don't think I did so well in that class."
Caroline waved her hand. "Just let people know that you're not quite there yet. They should be understanding. If not they're idiots."

"They all told me one of the first things they completely memorized was 'please repeat that.'" she giggled. That was one of the first things she learned, too.
"Yeah...I just get kind of tired of being corrected after a time...while." she said, sighing near the end.

"That's pretty good," Caroline nodded as she started to shade the calculator. This was even harder then she thought it was. "Smart I mean. It's better than bathroom and head. I don't think they could be too useful in communicating. Unless of course you need to pee real bad. Then that's ok," She said with a small giggle.
Caroline wrinkled her nose. "Well, don't worry none. You'll get the hang of it eventually."

"No, I couldn't see that being very helpful outside of that situation." she laughed, "Is that really all you can remember?"
"Eventually, yes." she reassured herself.

Caroline nodded with a giggle. "That's it. I vaguely remember that zappados meant something. But I have no clue what. So I apologize if I said something...dirty or mean," She smirked and shrugged. "I just was never into the class. I knew I wanted to take Latin in high school so there was no need really." She looked up at the clock and sighed in relief. The class was almost done. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy Airi's company, she just wanted to go home and sleep, cuddling up with Jonas.

She laughed, "Maybe in another language." she said, "And I can understand that. When I first started English, I didn't want to...but we had to. So I was stuck."
She sighed--American schools gave students more of a choice than Japanese schools did. Yet another thing that she found interesting.

"You had to?" Caroline asked with a raised brow. "How so? Did you have to come over here or something? I never really found out why you came here...sorry. I guess that should have followed the whole, what's your name and all." She shrugged knowing that she was not the best...social person out there. Just one of the many reasons why she would have never survived the 50's. She couldn't host to save her life. Well that and the whole liking girls thing.

"Students in Japan are required to learn English throughout school." she replied, "But no, I came here simply because my mother wanted to move to America. She never gave me a reason, at least."
She started putting the final touches along the edges of her drawing and shading in the details.

Caroline raised her brow. "No reason? Well there has to be some reason...." She paused knowing that it wasn't her business so she let it go. At least for now. Maybe one day Airi would find out why she was in America...there really had to be a reason. No one packs up and goes, Caroline said to herself. But then again, that notion sounded like a good idea for her at that moment.
"That's really cute," Caroline nodded eyeing Airi's work. "I like these sessions...cool things happen. Or ugly things," She commented looking at her own work.
