Eric made a show of straigtening his clothes and sitting up straight. "How's that?" he teased, leaning forward to place a lingering kiss on her lips. "Well, it's settled then," he stated firmly, "You're the only girl I want to go for me, so I'll keep out of trouble." He nodded at his own statement before finishing off his lasagne and packing the container back into his bag. "So, Lil," he asked, "I heard there's going to be a school musical. You gonna try out for it? I bet you'd be great!"

Lilia smiled back at him. "I think you're good," she replied. She took a few more bites of the lasagna and then handed Eric the empty container. "Thanks for saving me from the lunch from hell," she said, smiling at him.
"Musical? Me?" she asked. "You must be joking. I'm too shy."

Eric put the second container into his bag then turned back to Lilia. "You really should, Lil, you'd be the star of the show," he brushed a stray lock of hair out of her face as he spoke, "And I'd be there, front row centre, cheering you on!" He grinned. "But if you won't go on stage, what about the music part of it? Didn't you tell me you play the piano?"

Lilia rolled her eyes. "I have a major case of stage fright. I can't speak when I'm on stage in front of a bunch of people," she replied. She smiled. "But it is sweet of you to say something like that."
"Yeah, I'll probably sign up to do that. They might make me play the violin, though," she said, wrinkling her nose. "I hate the violin. But my mom won't let me quit."

"My mom made me play the violin in the fourth grade," he admitted, "I didn't want to, but she forced me. Said it'd be good for me." Eric rolled his eyes before continuing, "So I made it my mission to play awfully. By June, she couldn't wait to sell the thing!" He laughed. "You could try that with your mom, though it might be too late now."

Lilia couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure its too late now. But I guess I'll just have to suck it up until my mom decides it isn't majorly important that I know how to play two instruments. Whenever that may be," she said. She sighed as the bell rang, ending lunch. "Well, guess its back to class. I'll talk to you later," she said, leaning down to kiss him as she stood up and picked up her bag. She hurried off to go to her locker before her next class.
