"Thanks," Tommy chuckled to himself. "I never knew you were that active. Well I suppose that's good, keeps you away from the troubles of drugs and alcohol," He said in an old lady voice. Although he knew it was the truth, after all, he wasn't in a sport and was fond of both drugs and alcohol. It was just fun to tease.
"Is there a bed lying around that you know you could use?" Tommy asked knowing that he could bring his own, but he didn't want Stevie to sleep on a couch for the rest of her life. "Oh I get it. Me and Angel. Well, we ain't at that point yet. I don't think we'll be for a while, but future reference is good."
"Really?" Tommy asked after licking his ice cream cone. Then he shrugged. "I don't care what they are, don't like things floating in other stuff. Makes me think that there are bugs in them or something." He smirked, "Or kiss them into submission. I prefer that."

"Yes, I'm a very busy person." Stevie said with a shake of her head. "School, Sports, clubs, work, homework, sleep, do it again." She laughed slightly. "It can be tiring at times." When he asked her about a bed she shrugged.
"I'm sure I could get one. It's just right now, there's two of us sleeping in a one bedroom apartment. I use a lot of my money to help with bills and food. I think if I could start setting aside a little bit at a time, I could get enough for a mattress. I could always try and go back to my parents place for my furniture, but I'd rather not. And my brother has offered me his room and bed before, but my brother is taller than me. If the couch is to small for me, it's obviously to small for him."
"Oh well no, even if I didn't have my brother, you and Angle wouldn't bother me." Stevie said with a smile. "I'm all for equal rights and equal love. I just meant if you realized you didn't have a towel and made a mad dash from the bathroom to your room, I wouldn't scream like a girl or anything." She laughed.
"It's not bugs though." Stevie grinned despite herself. "Have you ever been to camp? Bug Juice is always served there. All it is, in reality, it sickenly sweet kool aid."

Tommy raised his brow. "Just hearing about it makes me exhausted." He finished up the ice cream on top of the cone and started to chew on the cone itself.
As he listened to Stevie's situation, he nodded. This prospect was sounding too promising for him. They would have to find a way. "I might be able to get one myself. Maybe from my parents even. We have a guest room...maybe they could turn it into...something just as useless as a guest room." Tommy chuckled quietly. "Aw but then what do I have to do to you to get you to scream like a girl?"
He shook his head. "Sadly no. I never went to camp. My parents decided it wasn't educational enough so I had a summer reading thing. They would give me a toy everytime I finished a book. And they wonder why I'm into gambling and bribing people," Tommy winked at Stevie. "But it does sound interesting."

"I do have an aunt who still talks to us some, I might see if she could help me with a bed. Most of our family sided with my parents so we're just sorta on our own. Aunt Cookie still sends us little things for holidays and birthdays."
Stevie laughed. "I'm not telling you that. It would give you every excuse to actually try and make me scream like a girl!" She grinned. "I will tell you that I have to work up the nerve to dispose of a spider though because they creep me out. I can take care of it, but I sorta freak out first." She shook her head. "I try not to kill them though, they do have a useful purpose, so I stick em back outside." When he said he never went to camp, she shrugged.
"You weren't missing to much. I went to Volleyball camp. You'd think since it was a sports camp they would give you healthier stuff, but I was eating fried chicken and bug juice a lot."

"Aunt Cookie?" Tommy asked with wide eyes. "I don't know about her too much. But...I think I wanna party with Aunt Cookie." He chuckled to himself and then calmed down. "Sorry. Just amused me. I'm sure we can figure it out. If need be I'll take the couch for a bit."
"Aw Stevie, you're no fun." He pouted and then added, "Those spiders are gonna stay creepy. I can't stand those little things. Even Charlotte gives me the willies. I know they have a useful purpose. To save the many piggies of the world from becoming bacon, but still. The willies. They give me that."
Tommy laughed quietly. "One day I'll have to get that Bug Juice stuff. It sounds quite...eye opening." He worked on finishing up the cone.

"Aunt Cookies, is interesting...I think she might be going a tad bit senile. She has her moments." She shrugged. "there are those already furnished apartments. They usually are fairly inexpensive. I saw one in the paper the other day that was only 275 per room." She told him. "Had a full living room and kitchen and beds and drawers in each room. Something like that would be ideal. Would you really want to room with me?"
"Yes Spiders are creepy. I can get rid of them, but I have to work up the nerve first." She laughed when he said he'd have to try Bug Juice. "I'm fairly certain I can make it for you sometime." She laughed.

Tommy chuckled at Stevie's description of Aunt Cookie. The name seemed to fit her perfectly. "Ah, I love old ladies. Make me laugh. But yeah, that sounds somewhat reasonable. I will have to get that job, but that's fine. I should probably be a big boy and do that anyway." With Stevie's question, he smiled. "Yeah. I do. The only issue is college. I'm going away to it...but I guess we have a long while til then right?"
"You'll have to," Tommy winked at her and tossed out his napkin, now finished with his cone.

Stevie grinned. "Well I'm hoping to go away for College too, but that's a while yet." She smiled and wiped down the counter slightly, before glancing at the clock. She still had a while on her shift yet. "Well Smitty's is almost constantly hiring, we have a huge turn over rate. I've been here the longest at two years and have recently been made the assistant manager. But the bookstore and I think Santa Fe is also hiring. Rite Aid might be as well." She laughed when he said she'd have to get the spiders.
"Alright fine, but you better find a way to make that up to me." She teased lightly.

"Oh your assistant manager?" Tommy asked impressed with the news giving a little golf clap. "Congratulations for that. I didn't know that I was in the pressense of an awesome ice cream lady. I'll keep it in mind for the next time around." He winked at her. "I'll look around a bit and let you know. I'll let you know about all of the stuff with the apartment as well. Maybe if I mention itto my parents they'll actually start talking to me again. One can always hope huh?"

Stevie couldn't help but laugh. "Oh yes, Ice cream royalty." She shook her head in amusement. "Yeah defiantely look around a bit. It would be nice to get out of my brother's hair. He would never complain, but I'm sure I get in the way a lot."
"Yeah, you can always hope." Stevie agreed. "Your parents might be reasonable. They let you back in the house after all." His situation had gone a bit better at least. His parents let him in the house. "My mother threatened to have us shot if we stepped foot on their property." Stevie said making a face. "Nice huh?"

Tommy chuckled and did a fake little curtsey to Stevie. "M'lady would like a wafflecone?" He asked in a British accent. Chuckling to himself he nodded. "Oh yeah. I understand. I'm sure I'll find something. If not right in town maybe the next over. We could always take the normal people bus to school if need be I guess. Unless you have a car...which I'm doubting..."
"That's true. I kinda believe that they would have reacted differently if they hadn't....well..." Tommy sighed. "They walked in on me and Angel kissing. So I guess it was rather shocking. Me getting my hands on the most gorgeous guy out there. But I'm sure they'll dealing in their head and all of that." Tommy's eyebrows lifted. Apparently, Stevie knew what it was like to have a stinky upbringing. "Wow....that's...yeah don't go back there."

Stevie laughed and shook her head. "I do have a car." She told him with a laugh. "We had a neighbor who was selling everything cheap as he was moving out of the country, and I got my car for only five hundred bucks." She laughed. "It actually runs too, which is the cool part." when he told her why his parents flipped she rolled her eyes.
"That's it? Parents are whacked sometimes. I had to climb out my bathroom window to get away from my parents, and all I did was have a note a girl wrote me in my backpack. Don't worry, I never plan to go back there. I only went back the once when they weren't there so I could get the stuff I absolutely needed."

"500 dollars? Damn girl you got lucky. And yeah the running thing...that's amazing. And well awesome. Not that I'm going to steal it right now or anything. Just good to know is all." He nodded to himself. That would help with finding a place. Maybe it wouldn't have to be that close to home.
"I kinda understand why they freaked in a way. I never really...was open with my parents about anything. Nonetheless who I was dating. So if I was kissing a girl they probably would have been shocked too. Just not shocked enough to send me packing for a while." Tommy shrugged to himself. "That's good. You shouldn't have to go back there if it hurts you so much."
Then he paused looking at his watch for a moment. He still had time. "So...are we going to really do this?"

Stevie grinned. "I know, it pays off to be nice to your neighbors." She laughed before shaking her head. "It runs, so it works for me." She listened as he explained what had gone on with his parents.
"I'm sorry your parents freaked out on you like that though, it's not cool." She shook her head before glancing at him again when he asked if they were really going to move in together.
"I'm in if you are." She said with a smile.

"Yeah...it wasn't," Tommy said with a deep sigh. "But I've learned to deal over the years. There's nothing that I can do about changing my parents. So I'll just...move around them. You know? That's the way I was kinda living before and I shall continue to do so. But if we move in together that would make life...even easier. I wouldn't have to pretend that I didn't mind eating dinner in silence."
"I'm in," Tommy winked at her. "Well...I guess I should let you get back to this. And I'll...do you have my number?"
