"Do I have to go?...oh, oh, that feels nice....no, I'm not going..." Lilly whispered raggedly, mostly to herself. She didn't want to have to go in. Not now. Not after this. And when she did go in, she'd have to run in quick- her mom couldn't see her like this. Neither could her brother, for that matter.

Dwayne smiled weakly in response to her words. "You have to eventually," he admitted with a pained expression on his face. It was quite clear that he didn't like that idea any better than Lilly did. Still...there didn't seem to be any other way, did there?

"I know, I know. Probably now before we- before we...before we go any...further. At least for right now." Two days, Cohen. Keep your head. You're going to need it.

Dwayne nodded in agreement, slowly letting go of her. "You're right. If we stay here any longer...well, it probably won't be pretty in the long run." He kissed her softly on the cheek before pulling himself up in an upright position. "So...I'll see you?"

Lilly smiled softly. "Might be pretty in the short run. And please see me. See me all the time." She kissed him quickly three times (that was all she could get away with) before fixing her shirt and hair, grabbing her bag, and getting out of the car. Still standing in front of his car, she waved goodbye, hesitant to go inside.

Dwayne smiled back at her. "True..." He returned every one of her kisses lightly. "And I will. Count on it." Sighing a bit, he waved goodbye to her as well. He mouthed, "Bye" toward her, watching her to make sure she got in okay. He would go out to make sure, but if he walked out, he knew for a fact he was never coming back.

"Bye, baby," Lilly mouthed back. She closed her eyes and spun around quickly in her front yard before walking inside. Luckily for her, her mother was watching television and hadn't noticed she was late.
"Hey, honey, how was your day?"
"It was great," Lilly answered, smiling. "Best day ever." Then she ran up the stairs quickly to make sure her mom wouldn't see her.

Dwayne sighed a bit as he watched her go. He took a quick glance at his clock, realizing he had to get back to school. How ironic that he had a GSA meeting today. Trying to keep his mind off the fact that he was leaving Lilly's house behind, he tried to imagine when exactly Cathrine meant she'd go. Obviously not today. It was too short notice. He rolled his eyes. She really bugged him, particularly in the Lilly situation. Who he dated was none of her business.

Upon entering her room, Lilly glanced the phone. Maybe April would be able to help her figure this out! She always had the answers to almost everything else. She picked up her phone and dialed the number of April's cell phone. Hopefully she wouldn't be busy.

((In from Smitty's))
"Well," Lilly said, looking over her work. "I've got so much homework that I can't afford to keep chatting. Was nice to talk to you, though. See you tomorrow." With that, she hung up the phone. She had to get this done in case anything else happened this evening that would be more interesting than homework.

It was around eight thirty now. As usual, most people would call Dwayne crazy for this. But at least he made sure he ate and did his homework first, right? You had to give him credit for that. Anyway, now he was by the Cohen residence again. His eyes on her window, he climbed out of his car and leaned against it.

"And just for this moment... As long as you're mine.. I've lost all resistance, And crossed some borderline And if it turns out It's over too fast, I'll make every last moment last As long as you're mine..." Lilly sang along softly with her CD player. Spinning slowly and in time with the music, she eventually made her way over to the window. She opened it to let in some of the crisp fall air. It was getting too stuffy in the house and her parents never opened the windows.

Dwayne raised an eyebrow when he heard her singing from her bedroom window. To top it off, she had a lovely voice? He was silent for a moment, soaking in the scene before he decided to say, "You never fail to surprise me. Along with you being amazing in general, you can definitely sing."

Lilly sat on her window seat with her back to the wall, staring out the window. The moon was perfect that night. She would take a picture, but going to get the camera would take time she could spend just looking at it. She always liked the moon for some reason. Something about it just made her smile.

Dwayne wasn't sure what she was smiling about, but he couldn't help smile along with her. From what he could tell, she still didn't know he was even there. He wasn't sure if he should draw her attention to him or not. After a while, he decided against it for the time being. "Lilly...I think I'm in love with you...I really have no past experience to be sure...but I know what I feel at least" he whispered. He still couldn't say it out right. He didn't want to scare her off; that was the one thing where total honesty wasn't worth it for him.
