Dwayne stopped by the Cohen residence. "And to answer to your previous comment, I'd try it if I wouldn't be endangering people's lives. I drive fast as it is. Having my feet on the dashboard would make driving just a tad hard." He chuckled before glancing toward her with a light smirk.

"Oh, ha ha. I meant if you were in the passenger's seat. So I'm going to go in first. When I open my window, it'll be okay for you to come up. My gosh, it's already dark outside. Anyway- watch for the window." Lilly pecked him quickly before getting out of the car and running inside.

Dwayne sighed of mock relief. "Well good. I figured you had more sense than that." He listened to her instructions and nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me." Where did she learn to run like that? he couldn't help but wonder as she rushed back into the house. Now all he could do was wait patiently and watch the window.

Lilly shut the door behind her before walking into the living room. Her parents were both watching television...not talking.
"Hey," she greeted. "I'm home." "Finally," Neil answered, looking her up and down. "Where've you been?" "Just...out." Lilly shrugged. "She called, honey, it's fine. We talked about this." Alice, who had been reading People and watching TV at the same time, got up off the couch to give her daughter a hug. "Mom? Can I...talk to you about something?" She pulled her mother aside into the hallway. "Look...I was with my boyfriend. He's adorable, you'd love him. Anyway, we have a date tomorrow after school and I don't want you to say anything to dad about him. Tell him I'm at April's or something. Dad'll blow a fuse if he finds out, Mom, and I really really really don't want that. Please?" Alice grinned and kissed her daughter's forehead. "No problem. Just be responsible."
Lilly grinned as well, giving her mom a thumbs up and running up the stairs. She flipped on the light in her bedroom, locked the door, and, last but certainly not least, opened the window.

Dwayne beamed when he finally saw the window open. It had taken a little longer than he expected, but it was well worth the wait. He got out of the car and headed toward the trellis, climbing as quietly and quickly as he could manage. "Hey..." he whispered as he got all the way up.

"Hey yourself," Lilly whispered back, kissing him gently. "Would you look at that moon? I swear, it just gets prettier and prettier every day." She sighed softly and hugged her knees to her chest. "There's just something about it..."

Dwayne returned her kiss before following her gaze. He smiled lightly before looking back at her. "Might say the same about you." Corny, yes, but it was true. He brushed a bit of her hair out of her face before kissing her again.

Lilly blushed softly as she looked up at him. "Thanks," she whispered, biting her lip. She glanced outside again. It just lit up the whole sky. "You know...I'm really excited for tomorrow. And we have all the time in the world, too. If we want to just...do this, for hours and hours and hours, we can."

Dwayne smiled softly before kissing her on the side of her face. "That's true...and I rather like that idea." He squeezed her hands slightly. "Actually...I like that idea a lot." This time he kissed her on the lips as his hands pressed on her shoulders.

Lilly leaned against the wall when he pressed against her. She ran her hands to his elbows to pull him closer. He still made her heart race. She had thought she would have been used to this by now, especially after the night before, but she wasn't. The date tomorrow couldn't come soon enough.

If he had the chance to be up there with Lilly every night for the rest of his life, Dwayne knew he'd probably take it. These feelings were, well, insane, impractical...and also incredible...The point was that he couldn't help it at all. He didn't want to be able to help it either.

Upon noticing the cold, Lilly shut the wide picture window with one hand, keeping the other on Dwayne. "Hey," she mumbled into his neck, "I have to get the lights. Give me a second?" With a slight push, she'd moved him up far enough to crawl off of the seat. She padded over to the lightswitch as quietly as she could- her parents couldn't hear them moving around upstairs.

Dwayne nodded as he let her go, keeping an eye on her. He tried his best to not pant. He didn't want to make a single sound that might give them away. Come to think of it...did the rest of the Cohen's know about him yet? After seeing the effects of her father getting angry on Lilly's head, he could understand if at least he didn't know.

Lilly took his hand as she sat beside him on the seat. "Enjoy the stars while you can. If you go to New York City, who knows if you'll ever see them again. Or any big city, for that matter. Or anywhere. The stars aren't the same anywhere else in the world but here."

Dwayne smiled a bit as she came back. "Yeah, you're right. Still...either way, this is perfect, which I'm sure you realize." He used his free hand to twirled a bit of her hair before kissing her again. "But I will enjoy it while I can." In more ways than one, he added in his head.
