April smiled slightly as she zipped open her backpack in front of the door. When she found old books that just wouldn't suit Penny, she'd donate them here. Aside from that, she loved being surrounded by books; it appealed to the braniac in her. There was a good reason why she was at the very least tolerated by most of her teachers.
Getting many volumes out, she opened the door with her heel, smiling weakly toward Mr. Hoskins, who ran the store. "Hey sir, I've got quite a few new books here." She placed them on the counter. "By the way, is there anyway I can get a job here sometime?"

April grinned as she took the application and was about to walk out when her cell phone started ringing. Raising an eyebrow, she pulled it out. "April here" she responded with a smile. For some odd reason, just saying "Hello" was just asking for wrong numbers in April's opinion. And she had a lot of them. ******************** "Of course. See you then. And hopefully you'll find something to do that doesn't involve Mark getting pissed. And even if he does, I'll talk to 'im. That boy needs a reality check sometimes and I'm just the girl to give that. Bye." She hung up with a weak smile on her face.
Now it was time for more pressing matters; who the hell was she taking to Homecoming?

Roger started to enter the bookstore but he saw April just coming out. "Hey April," He smiled. Homecoming was coming up and he didn't have a date so he was going to ask April but he couldn't find the nerve to.

April nearly jumped as she turned around. "Oh hey Roger" she said with a wide smile. "What brings you here?" She leaned against the wall. "You don't seem like much of a book worm..." she added jokingly.

"Oh sorry, didn't mean to scare you," He laughed. "Yea well I need to find a book for Drama and I hardly go to a bookstore so I wouldn't know where to look for it," He smiled.

April chuckled as well, smirking lightly. "Ahh, the dreaded Drama class." She had remembered how much he hated that class. She thought it was sort of fun herself, but whatever. Everyone was entitled to their opinion...unless it was bigoted. Then they were asking for a food in their ass. "Anyways, I could help out. I'm going to be working here soon" she offered with a little shrug.

Roger nodded. "I don't know, I mean I shouldn't hate the class but I don't like the way that I'm forced to take it, if you know what I mean." Roger looked at April and smiled. "Well I would love for you to help me. Wow, you are going to work here? I wouldn't be able to," He joked.

April smiled as she opened the door and walked in, holding it open for him. "It's fine. No one likes being forced to take that kind of class. But it grows on you, ya know?" She waved slightly toward Mr. Hoskins again. "Don't mind us sir; just going to help him find a book." She glanced back toward Roger. "So what book do you need anyway?"

He thanked April as she held the door open for him. "Yea but I hate expressing myself to people I hardly know," He said. He tried to think about what book he needed. It was something to do with Shakespeare. "Oh yea well I need the book "Midsummer's Night Dream". Any version is good to me, it's only for studying."

April nodded slightly and then grinned. "Ooh, Midsummer." She started looking through the shelves. "A classic; I think you'll like it, at least once you can understand the Shakesperian. Aha, here." She pulled out a copy and handed it to Mr. Hoskins. "He'll take this."
"That'll be about five dollars."

"Yea I heard it was good but I'm learning how to understand the Shakesperian language better." He pulled out his wallet and grabbed a 5. He gave it to the cashier and got his package. "Thanks for helping me find my book," He told April.

April nodded. "Well, the thing about Shakespeare's plays it that they're a lot easier to understand if you see them performed." She smiled slightly at his latter comment. "Oh, you're welcome. I might as well get some practice in if I wind up working here."

"Hmm well I only saw one of his plays, "Romeo and Juliet". That was pretty good though." He smiled back. "You'll be a great worker," Roger paused. He really did want to ask her to Homecoming but he didn't know how to bring it up. But what would she say? I mean she probably already had a date or wouldn't be interested.

April sighed softly. "Ah yes...the classic" she whispered, a slightly dreamy expression on her face. She then chuckled softly. "I know it's probably a surprise at how much I love it. Most people are anyways, since they know me as the local tomboy." She shrugged. "So anyways, what's new with you?"

"It's just sad that they have to die for their parents to realize what they caused," He shook his head. "No actually it isn't. Most girls would love to have a relationship like that well I mean like that kind of love." "Me, well nothing much...just getting ready for the game for Homecoming. Anything new for you?"
