Benny blushed a little at Lilly's reaction. "I told you... rumours..." he said, quietly. "Good to know though. I never knew quite what to make of the guy." He thought for a moment. "Just don't tell him I told you that, okay?"

"You know, I think I might. Won't say you said it, though. I think that he'd get a kick out of it, actually. I did." Lilly shrugged, still containing her laughter.

Benny grumbled a little, face flushing even more. "I don't see why you find this so funny." Benny always found himself getting defensive when he was embarrassed, and this was no exception. He shifted his body in his seat so that he was facing straight ahead, jotting random words on his paper.

"Okay then, whatever..." Lilly bit her lip to hold in some giggles, and went back to her notes. "It's funny because it's so completely out of his character to do something like that. You know what I'm saying?"

"Yeah, I know," he said. "Glad I could amuse you." Benny made a mental note to talk to Mark about this whole thing when he had the chance. Sighing, he turned back to Lilly, trying to force the bluch off of his face. "So it seems like you're happy with him, then. That's good." He didn't know what else to say... he'd just told a completely false rumour about her boyfriend and he felt like a fool. The guy who told it to him was gonna get it.

"Chill out, Benny. Seriously. There is absolutely nothing you should be embarrassed about. I swear. And yeah...yeah, I'm happy. I just want this class to be over, now. You know? You're dating Mimi, right? You would know."

Benny did know. But right now he wanted this class to be over for other reasons. Looking up at the board, he groaned. The teacher was assigning a project to be completed by the end of the week. It looked simple enough, but it was just one more thing.
Sighing, Benny gestured toward the board. "Fun stuff," he said sarcastically. "But don't worry, Lilly. Only five more minutes," he grinned, looking forward to being out of this class himself.

Lilly rolled her eyes, annoyed. "I hate projects. I hate them. No fun. Plus they don't teach you anything. Five minutes? Are you kidding? Yes! Five?"
The longest five minutes of Lilly's life, she was sure. But she waited them out. As soon as she heard the bell, she was out of there. Good as gone.
