"Right," Tommy said turning right with Angel towards his home. Or at least where he lived. Tommy had to wonder if Angel really felt at home there. Maybe with his sister...he hoped so.
"Look...the sun is seeting," Tommy said pointing out the obvious with a smile. But he left it at that. There was no way that he was going to kiss Angel again until he asked him to...or...maybe after a day or two...even though that seemed like a very long time. "It's pretty." The sky was filled with shades of pinks, oragnes, and even some streaks of purple.

"So it is," Angel said quietly, looking at Tommy quickly while the other boy was looking at the sky. Was Tommy going to kiss him? He wanted him to...but after what had happened, he doubted it. He considered himself lucky that Tommy still wanted to acknowledge him, he wasn't about to go pushing his luck.

Tommy looked over at Angel and then looked at the ground. "I um..." He took a deep breath and shrugged. "There I go being nervous again. You...you have an odd effect on me Angel. I don't think I've ever felt so nervou sand wondeful all at the same time..." He paused listening to himself. "And I'm sure that sounds like a mix of every bad pick up line and a quote that even soap operas would throw out."

"It's okay," Angel said quietly, not quite looking at him. "To be nervous, I mean. And to say corny things...adds to the cuteness," he added, his nose crinkling as he tried not to laugh. "But seriously...I feel the same," he said after a pause.

"Really?" Tommy asked smiling. He looked at Angel from the corner of his eye. "Just as long as it adds to the cuteness factor, I think I'm good with it. Hey, maybe we could get a job at the local soap opera. Get us some cash..." He nodded to himself liking the idea. But then again writing for that long? Sometimes he couldn't finish is two page papers for school. Except his one philosophy paper that was supposed to be two pages and turned out to be five. That one went well for some reason.
"I like this...knowing that I'm not alone..."

"Oh yeah, that's a dream job," Angel laughed, squeezing Tommy's hand gently and walking a bit closer to him. He was slowly gaining his small amount of confidence back, and was once again filled with the need to be close to the other boy.
"Yeah...me too," he agreed quietly. He began walking a bit slower to hopefully stretch out the trip, hoping Tommy wouldn't notice. Or if he did, hoping he wouldn't mind.

Tommy giggled. "The sad thing is I could probably write it easy without having ever watched one...if I knew all of the characters. It's all about saying something dramatic and then the camera zooming in on the doe eyes," Then he paused and sighed. "Well...frankly I've watched some a few times when I was sick last year. I got pretty into it...ok I'm gonna stop confessing things." He laughed to himself.
Tommy smiled and noticed that Angel relaxed his pace. He felt a need to take his hand away from Angel's, and maybe wrap it around his waist. But that would be awful...forward. Wouldn't it? Tommy didn't know the rules for this.

"Soaps aren't so bad...my aunt loves them. I can see why people could get so into it," Angel shrugged. Of course he couldn't imagine actually yelling at the tv screen like his aunt did, but to each his own. "There's no shame in watching them...though, how into it are we talking?" he asked.

"Oh I don't like...I'm not addicted that I have to run out of class to watch my soaps. But when I'm home sick I'll tune in. See that everyone as been recasted and is carrying someone elses baby. I think it's more fun that way to leave...and then come back. Then it's amusing in another way," Tommy smirked. "Picking on the soaps are almost as much fun as watching them."
Tommy took his hand away from Angel's to cough into his fist. Then he bit his lip and wrapped his arm around Angel's waist gently, wondering if he would brush him off.

"I noticed that...everytime I go to my aunt's house, the people are different. Or maybe she just watches alot of them," Angel shrugged. He never really paid attention, anyway.
Angel smiled gently as Tommy placed his arm around his waist, and instinctively moved closer to the other boy. "This is nice," he said quietly.

"Oh no, I'm sure it's the same soap opera. They have a horrible turnover rate. When I had pnemonia last year, there was this guy named Jared and literally, in two weeks, four different guys. I just love it when it's their first episode, cause they everyone has to pretend that it's always been them...amuses me," Tommy shrugged slightly. He was still kinda shocked that he even was talking about soap operas...something that he wouldn't have admitted to anyone else...even Mo. She'd pick on him for it. But Angel...well, he didn't seem to mind.
Tommy smiled deeply when Angel came closer. "Yeah...it is," He whispered back.

"You had pnemonia? Bad?" Angel asked. He didn't know how to place his arms, so he kept them at his sides for now. "Jared didn't last long, huh? That's why I'll never be a soap star. I'd last two episodes," he laughed softly, looking up at Tommy. He was unbelievably cute. Absolutely amazing. Angel looked down to try to hide the smile that was spreading on his face.

"Yeah...well it wasn't that bad. Enough to keep me out of school for a few weeks. But I deserved it I guess. I went on a camping trip...by myself. And I forgot to bring a tent. You know the big important thing you bring camping...and of course it ended up raining," Tommy explained with a smirk. He knew that he was a smart guy. And he also knew that he had the common sense of a rock. "It was ok though. Never had to be hospitalized or anything. I pretty much just slept it off."
Tommy laughed and shook his head. "Nope. And I actually think they killed him off this year. I guess they got tired of looking for the right Jared. Do you act at all? Or were you just saying if you were to be an actor?" Tommy wanted to get to know Angel was well as he could without prying. Or only prying a little bit.

"How do you forget a tent?" Angel blinked. A tent would've been the first thing on his mind, if he were at all an outdoorsy person. Which he wasn't, at all. "I mean, no offence or anything, but...that just seems like a hard thing to forget," he shrugged, smiling at Tommy to let him know he was just joking around.
"Nah...never been much of an actor, really. I'm better with the visual arts, and music," he shrugged.

"Yeah, you would think wouldn't you?" Tommy chuckled to himself. He looked up at the sunset for a moment. It really was beautiful. And all of the problems with his parents, it faded away. "Some of my friends like to say that my head wasn't screwed on so tightly. And I think I agree with them. I do little stupid things like that all of time. It's quite embaressing, but you know, I deal."
Tommy nodded. "I'd love to see some of your stuff one day. And well, listen to your drumming. I'm sure it would be great."
