"That's okay...you just need somebody to make sure you don't do anything too stupid," he trailed off. Angel didn't mention how much he wanted to be that person, though he supposed it was sort of implied. He looked down, trying to not look at Tommy as casually as possible. If that made any sense at all. He didn;t think it did. It didn't really matter.
"Well...the drawings probably wouldn't live up to your hype. They're just doodles...I just enjoy it. Though I am pretty good at the drums," he shruged, looking back up at the sky. It was nearly dark...still no kiss. He wasn't really expecting one after what had happened, but...he promptly told his mind to shut up. Tommy would kiss him when he wanted to...if he wanted to.

Tommy looked over at Angel for a moment. "You know any body who would be good for the job?" He asked him quietly, the smile on his face saying that he knew what Angel was getting to despite what he said. "Cause I'd be willing to take applications for the position."
"Doodles are actually up my alley. I do those too. Little men, sometimes with a top hat. Sometimes even penguins with top hats. High class things like that. But I bet your doodles are even higher than high class..." Tommy paused and looked up where Angel was looking. Was he thinking about the sunset? It seemed so, but was he thinking about what he said before? Could he really kiss him? After what just happened. But everything today seemed to have a risk attached to it. And most of the outcome...was better than worse.
He stopped walking and pulled Angel closer to him. "Almost night," He said quietly, too nervous to actually kiss him without talking about it.

Angel just grinned at the way Tommy saw through him. Was it that obvious? "Well...you know, I'm pretty level headed," he shrugged, smiling at Tommy quickly before directing his attention to a very interesting piece of ground.
"I'd like to see some of your work, too, then," Angel laughed, tilting his head back towards Tommy. "I mean, penguins...top hats...what's not to love?"
"So it is," he said back, looking up at the sky before looking at Tommy. His mind kept repeating the question, 'Is he gonna kiss me?', though he tried to get his brain to shut up. He would when he was ready. Swallowing hard, Angel smiled at Tommy gently, his hands at his sides.

"Oh...well then in that case you get the job," Tommy said trying to sound somewhat professional. "I trust you. And I think I need someone around with that level head. Sounds like a perfect match to me," He bit his lip slightly, that came out a bit too frank.
Tommy laughed heartily with Angel. His whole body shaking with laughter, his eyes lighting up. "Oh yeah. I mean those are some damn handsome penguins that I churn out. Sometimes they even have bow ties. But I save those for the important penguins. Not everyone can have a bow tie now can they?"
"Yeah..." Tommy looked up at the sun and waited. It was slowly making it's way down the horizon line, and just as it hit the halfway point Tommy leaned in and gently kissed Angel. A part of him held back, as he didn't want Angel to slap him. Maybe after all that went on kissing wasn't such a good idea...but he did make a promise didn't he?

"I agree," Angel said softly, trying to hide his smile. Tommy probably didn't mean it the way it sounded...but it was still nice to hear. He had to wonder whether Tommy realized how it sounded. Whether he would've taken it back if he could've.
"But of course. Only those of importance can wear bow ties. Y'know, you should wear one to homecoming," Angel suggested with a smile. "Show everybody how important you are."
Angel sighed and kissed Tommy back, his eyes closing. He'd been half worried that it just wouldn't happen. Though, with the way they'd been talking, like the thing with his parents never happened...part of him knew it wasn't true. He gently brought his hands to Tommy's shoulders, breaking the kiss only to start another one.

"Bowtie for homecoming?" Tommy nodded thinking if he owned one. "I don't know if I have one, but I do...I'll be sure to wear it. Try to look as cool as possible," He winked at Angel.
Tommy was relieved that Angel didn't slap, kick, bite, or punch him. That wouldn't have been pleasent. Would have ruined the mood for sure. He was quite happy with the outcome. And glad to recieve another kiss from Angel. He must have no minded what happened before, or maybe it was the moon. Tommy was pretty sure that it was a full moon that night. But when he kissed Angel back, felt his muscles relax and contract at the same time he knew that he couldn't blame the moon.
He pulled back slightly, not willing to be too far away from Angel's lips. "I didn't know...if you were going to...not wanna do that again. After what happened. I'm glad that you did. Kiss me...I mean."

"I thought you wouldn't want to," Angel replied quietly, his eyes wide. Why wouldn't he have wanted to? It was one of the only things on his mind. "I mean, I thought...because it was kind of my fault back there...I thought you wouldn't want to," Angel shrugged slightly. It was coherent enough...if not eloquent.
"But I'm glad that you did," he added, kissing Tommy's cheek gently.

Tommy raised his eyebrow. "I wouldn't want...? Angel I don't think they will ever be a reason for me not to kiss you. I'm pretty sure about that," He said with confidence. There he was going again. Saying things that were pretty...well...not hard core but something like that. They were just on their first date...but Tommy's subconscious seemed to believe there was something more brewing there.
Tommy frowned and shook his head. "That was in no way your fault. It wasn't either of us...it was my mothers. That's it. It's not your fault that I wanted to kiss you," He chuckled quietly. "Truthfully, that thought never entered my mind. Maybe, 'gosh, I should have locked the door' but not a thing to do with you and blame. Not at all."
A slight blush hottened Tommy's face again when Angel kissed his cheek. "I'm glad too."

Angel blushed slightly, looking down. Did people alwayss say things like that on the first date? He doubted it...it sounded like something you said after seeing someone for a long time. The blush deepened a bit, and he looked back up. "Well that's good to know...because I can't see myself ever not wanting to be kissed by you."
"Well, yeah but...I guess," Angel shrugged, smiling softly. Tommy made it seem simple. He made it seem not worth arguing. "I guess you're right."

"That's also good to know," Tommy answered glad that he wasn't the only person out there in this twesome. Then he cleared his throat. "I...Angel. I'm sorry that this is kinda going...fast. I don't mean it to be...or anything. It just seems right. But if you ever want to put on the breaks...tell me. And I'll shut my mouth. Or I'll try at least...ok?" He asked him with a concerned look in his face.
"Good...cause that would just be silly," Tommy smirked and then let out a sigh. "And don't go worrying about any of it either. I think they'll cool off. Going back to ignoring me. I'll be ok with them...thanks. For sticking around. I don't know if I'd be so cool about it if I didn't have someone level headed around..."

"I will. But at the moment...I like the pace," Angel said quietly with a gentle smile. Why wait? If they knew they liked each other, there was no point in taking forever. Batting eyelashes, leaving hints, playing hard to get. Life was only so long.
"My pleasure," he said quietly, leaning up to kiss him again. He loved how it was becoming second nature, the whole...kissing thing. Earlier in the day, he hadmin't even really known how. But now it was turning more into a need than a want.

"Oh..." Tommy said watching Angel's smile. He was pretty sure that Angel had the best smile on the planet. If not the best, it was way up there. "Oh ok. Just kick me if need be. I've got some hard core calves so I would be able to take a kick or two." Tommy smiled deeply.
Tommy closed his eyes when Angel leaned into kiss him. When their lips meet again, he felt safe, secure, excited, and energized all at the same time. Oh yes, there was something to this. Something big.

"I promise, if I'm uncomfortable, you'll know. I'll tell you. But right now, I feel great....better than great. Amazing," Angel smiled. After a second of hesitation, he let his arms wrap around is neck gently.
Angel broke the kiss gently, but kept his eyes closed for a moment. "This is amazing," he whispered, a smile coming to his face.

Tommy shivered and nodded. "Good...you gotta guide me. In more ways than one right?" He asked tightening his hold around Angel's waist. "And you're right about that. It does feel amazing. You know...for a while I didn't believe in that mushy stuff...I guess the cooties phase lasted longer on me than others. But now I think I'm offically over that phase. And I'm glad I am."
Tommy gently brushed his lips on Angel's forehead. "It sure is." He pulled Angel closer to him for a simple hug.

"How do you mean, more ways than one?" Angel asked quietly, smiling as Tommy tightened his hold. He;d get no rejections from Angel; he wanted to be as close to the senior as possible. Luckily Tommy wasn't making that too hard. "It seems right that we're going this fast...you know?" he asked quietly.
Angel smiled and returned the hug, closing his eyes. He was sure Tommy could feel his heart beating, it was pounding so hard. There was something about his kiss that was so sweet, so...he didn't even know. All he knew was that he really didn't want to leave Tommy's arms again. As cheesy as it all seemed, it was right.
