"No it's not! It would be slutty if you were dancing around and saying everyone look at me! And while I think you will get some attention for your outfit, I doubt that you'll be showing the football team your legs. Which are lovely by the way," Tommy realized for the first time, but not for the last.
"Haha! I triumph once again," He grinned deeply, very proud of himself. "Yes. NYU. It's in the city so it's not too far from here. Maybe half an hour. More in traffic. But it's not bad at all. I could take the train home. Visit. I got in some early thing...they came after me about something. A scholarship...which is helpful." He shrugged it off and then simply kissed Angel again. He was cute when he was serious.
"Well...I just don't want to offend you but...you liked the girl...the fact that I called you a girl right?" He asked holding onto his arms hoping that he wouldn't get upset. That Tommy didn't misunderstand him.

"Well I might," Angel smirked lightly, though they both knew that wouldn't happen. Not quite yet. Maybe one day, when he was a little more comfortable in a skirt. And he would work up to that...while he wasn't sure before, there was no doubt in his mind anymore. The drag felt too good to quit. Despite the risks. "Actually, I wouldn't show them my legs. They're too nice. And when they realized my actual gender I would deeply confuse and trouble them," he responded. And then they'd kick his butt.
"That's not so bad," Angel admitted. Though half an hour away really was still too far. "I guess I lost my pouting priveledge for that one, huh? Okay. I'll have to learn to drive or something then, so I can come visit you...we couldn't do this at my house," he added, leaning up to kiss Tommy again. Well, they could. But Angel didn't really want to risk a repeat of what happened at Tommy's house. That would just be too much.
"Well...yeah," Angel nodded his head, tryimg to understand what Tommy was getting at. "I mean, I guess...I like the girl clothes, girl things..." he shrugged, not even sure what he was trying to say. "The girl makes sense. And...I like it."

Tommy chuckled quietly imagining Angel being all hottsie tottsie. He just couldn't see it. "Okay. You let me know what that day is on its way and I'll come running. I'm sure it will be a very interesting show to watch." He nodded imagining the jocks getting a look at Angel's amazing legs. "Yes, they would be very confused as to why there were so attrached to you. I guess I win that though. I'm not so confused. Kinda makes sense to me really."
"Oh you can pout all you want, Angel," Tommy replied with a shrug. "It'll make me want to kiss it away though." Looking down at Angel's dress he got the drift. They couldn't really be free in Angel's home. But then, Tommy frowned wondering if Angel would still be in the closet by the time he went off to college. One year...that seemed to be enough time, but Angel seemed more than hestiant still. Tommy let it go, maybe it was just a slip of the tongue. "We could always go over to someone elses place. Or just hang out among the people if you're confident. I could come get you...either way, Angel. We'll find a way to find each other." With that, he kissed Angel back glad for the reassurance.
Tommy nodded slowly. "So...should I call you my girl?" He asked hesitantly. "Like...normally."

"It will be. Maybe one day," Angel nodded. Not any time soon. But maybe one day he would. Rub it in the jocks' faces by being hotter than some of their girlfriends. Then going home with Tommy. It'd be a good day. "It does. Make perfect sense," he nodded his head.
Angel rose an eyebrow, then pouted gently. Though the corner of his mouth were threatening to turn up. "Course we will. I wouldn't let you get away that easy," he nodded his head. Angel was too in love to let a stupid yhing like distance ruin it. He returned the kiss deeply, closing his eyes.
"Normally?" Angel asked with wide eyes. He didn't have to think about it...he loved the sound of that. "How do you mean, normally...?"

Tommy chuckled as he really didn't see it happening in any upcming decades really. But then again Angel seemed to be making leaps and bounds in a few months. That could be a harbinger of things to come. "Yep," He kissed him gently and guided him towards the door slowly wondering if Angel was ready to go.
He paused as Angel kissed him so deeply. Raising his brow, he dropped his hands down around Angel's waist hoping that Mr. Curry found somewhere else to relieve himself. When he parted from Angel's lips it was only for oxygen. "Damn. You're good at that."
"Never mind....I don't know. It was silly of me to ask really," Tommy said trying to skirt around the issue. It was silly. Why would Angel want to do that? Okay it wasn't so silly, but he didn't want to push Angel more or push him somewhere where he didn't want to go.

Angel smiled and squeezed Tommy's hand gently, taking a deep breath as they neared the door. Okay. He could do it...what could they do, kick him put of the dance for wearing a skirt? Okay, maybe. Why was a skirt so different from pants anyway? It was just like....conjoined pant legs. Not so different. And if anybody had a problem, what could they do? He had Tommy by his side and Tommy at least looked somewhat powerful. He was already pretty much out to the school, from the dance...so he'd be in drag. What was the big deal? It was a huge deal, okay. But if Angel dwelled on that he was never gonna work up the courage. Better to just do it fast.
"I'm glad," Angel winked. "So are you by the way. Definitely make it worthwhile," he added with a nod.
"No, not nevermind," Angel argued. It was something. Whatever Tommy was talking about....it didn't seem so bad. He still kind of got chills when Tommy called him 'his girl', the best kind of chills. Whatever Tommy wanted to say couldn't be as silly as he thought. "I like being your girl. I love it. Whatever you say isn't gonna offend me, so out with it."

"Mmmm...looks what happens when you put two good kissers together I'm suprised we even had periods of not kissing as it is," Tommy said winking back at Angel. He looked at the door and then at Angel who wasn't looking that confident. But he wasn't shaking in his...dress. "You think you're ready? Or should we just go ready or not? Like hide and go seek?"
Tommy was caught off guard thinking that Angelw ould gladly change the subject. "Oh...okay." He really hoped that what he said about not offending was true. "If you like being my girl then why don't I call you that. You know...instead of he. She. See I told you it was..." He paused then at the off chance that Angel actually liked the idea.

"You're right. We'll have ro shorten those, if not get rid of them completely," Angel said in a mock serious tone, smiling softly. Actually, he wouldn't mind that so bad. Would be a great way to get out of a math test, he'd be too busy kissing. "We should probably just go out. Make it quick and relatively painless. Otherwise I know I'm gonna chicken out," he swallowed hard. he was already considering it. Being with Tommy, that was one thing. That was fine. But everybody else...he was definitely going to hear about it on Monday. Maybe he could fake sick...that wouldn't do a ton of good. He was pretty much just grasping at straws now, when it was painfully clear. He had to just...walk out the door and get it over with. Forget the consequences...for now. Just concentrate on having a good time.
"She?" Angel repeated the word. She. It wasn't so different from he...just one more letter. He brushed a piece of hair out of his eyes. Her eyes, she. Angel couldn't lie, he'd considered it. He'd liked it, but he'd never thought...he looked in the mirror. She. "We could try it," he said thoughtfully, looking at himself. Could he be...?

"Get rid of kissing?" Tommy asked with a deep pout. "But...but that's too much fun. Just not...24/7. Not that I wouldn't be cool with it...but you know." He pulled himself out of his panic knowing Angel was just teasing with him anyhow. "You won't chicken out. You'll be fine. You look amazing." Giving him one last kiss on the cheek, he nodded and headed for the door.
Tommy was more than ok with turning the subject off not wanting to make Angel uncomfortable. "You can think about it. It's ok. Whenever you want to...if at all. Just drop me a line. Let me know." He held the door open for Angel. "Just breathe."

"No silly. Get rid of the spaces in between," Angel teased, leaning up to kiss Tommy's cheek gently. He couldn't help but notice, he didn't have to lean up as tall in the heels he was wearing. It was nice. With a sigh, he nodded his head and faced the door. He was squeezing Tommy's hand, probably a little too hardly, but he really couldn't help it...
"Promise," Angel nodded. As Tommy opened the door, he held his breath. Maybe this was too soon. Maybe next halloween he'd be ready...or maybe the door was already open and he was already thrown in the deep end. This was it. Not turning back.
He looked up at Tommy, hoping for some support, before keeping his eyes ahead as they walked out towards the carnival.

"Oh!" Tommy let out a laugh. "Those we could get rid of easily. I got no problem with that." He rubbed the top of Angel's hand with his thumb knowing this might be one of the bravest moments of his life. Remembering the boy that he had met that day in gym, he knew it had to been. All Tommy could feel as they entered the room was utter pride. His Angel was taking a big step, and he was so glad to be there with him. Holding his hand.
Tommy looked over at Angel with all of the pride and love that he could muster. "Love you," He said quietly. "Love you." Hopefully that would be the last boost he needed to take his first steps.

Angel struggled to keep his breathing even, and to keep his legs going forward. It was tough, he was constantly grasping at ways he could get away. Didn't he leave his bag in the bathroom? No...he was holding it. Okay, but...what about his math homework, he didn't finish it. But he never finished his math homework anyway.
However, when he hear Tommy, he knew that was all he needed. "Love you too. So much," he whispered keeping his eyes forward. This was it. He was showing everyone he knew, some people he didn't, he was showing them who he really was. And no matter what happened...Tommy's hand was in his. He'd be alright.
Hopefully.

Lilly ran into the hallway, with Dwayne (hopefully) close behind. She had to find Angel- his costume sounded like it was going to be amazing. Sprinting down the hallway (although with a slight limp, her tight shoes were really getting to her), she ran past a couple in shocking colors- one in what looked like an orange pimp suit and the other as Snow White. She laughed a little and kept running before halting abruptly in middle of the hallway. It had just occurred to her that the couple she'd just seen looked oddly familiar.
Lilly pivoted on her heel to face the couple, squinting a little at the one in the dress. There was no way....could he really have done that? "Angel?" she asked tentatively, taking a step closer. "Did you really...?" That must have taken some serious guts. "And Tommy, you look great in the pimp suit," she added, not wanting to ignore her friend's other half. She did have to admit, though, that took some effort after seeing her friend in a dress.

Now, Dwayne knew that Lilly was excited, but he didn't think she would run with those shoes that were obviously killing her. Whatever Angel was wearing, it must have been shocking to anyone who knew him. He didn't really like running all that much, but at least he was keeping up with her. "Lilly, wherever Angel is, I doubt she's going to suddenly disappear," he reminded her, although it was clear that he was equally curious. What a surprise.
When she passed by the couple, Dwayne stopped a little before her. Needless to say, he had recognized them a lot sooner. Dwayne's brown eyes widened with surprise and mild admiration. He had called Angel and Tommy brave multiple times in the past, but Angel had taken it into an entirely new league. While Tommy's suit was certainly attention grabbing as well, it was obvious which costume was going to grab more attention.
Smiling toward the two, he commented, "Great costumes you two. I have to say, I'm glad we found you, since Lilly was dying to see you Angel." Just then, Lilly clued into who they were and was, needless to say, just as surprised as he was. Actually, she was probably more surprised, since she knew Angel much better than he did.

Tommy stood by Angel, allowing him to set the pace of their walking. He didn't want to push him out onto the dancefloor with a spotlight on him. Simply walking out of the bathroom was impressive enough to him.
A faint smile spread across his face when he saw Mark's sister walk past them and then come back. Apparently not recognizing them. He laughed good naturedly. "Thanks, Lilly. I do try to fit my natural personality whenever possible on Halloween. You look pretty cute there yourself." Not as cute as Angel of course, but few did. "Thanks man. So who are you?" He asked Dwayne. "Oh wait! Looking for a phone booth? You got tights under there?" He teased with a raised brow.
