As soon as Lilly started talking, the excitement Angel had felt before leaving the bathroom began to creep back. Maybe this would be alright. The first two people who saw, besides Tommy, were one of his best friends and her boyfriend. But even still...it just got him excited again. Made him feel like the prettiest girl in the world...Lilly was second. "You look even better than I thought you would! And I thought you'd look fantastic, so," Angel nodded in approval, trying to keep from being too loud. It was difficult though, considering.
Then Angel turned to the boy with Lilly. "Well thank you..." he paused, trying to figure out what he was supposed to be. "Umm...man with glasses."

Lilly gave a little curtsy in Tommy's direction. So apparently she did look cute. And apparently his natural personality was...pimp. Interesting. Course, he was a football player...."I'll take your word for it," she said, turning to Angel to hug him. Her? Him. "Ah, but you look so good! Not me! This must have been so difficult, and Oh My Gah, where did you get those shoes?" She squatted down to check them out. "I bet those would fit me better than these feet corsets I'm wearing."
Lilly giggled a little bit. She couldn't tell what Dwayne was at first, either. Backing up so she was leaning against her boyfriend, she pulled the gold chain out from underneath his collar. "He's Superman, only not. Clark Kent. Cute, huh?"

Dwayne had to laugh at the exchange between Tommy and Lilly, particularly when he called her cute. "I've always thought so," he quipped, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend. Dwayne waited patiently for Tommy to figure it out. When Tommy did figure it out, Dwayne had to laugh. "Maybe, maybe not," he responded jokingly.
Then Angel and Lilly went on to gush about each other's costumes. Bias aside, Dwayne knew that if there was a contest, it'd be hard to decide who would get the "Prettiest Costume" title. The fact that he was able to put bias aside when it came to the girl he was in love with was pretty surprising.
Apparently, however, Angel was less clued in than his boyfriend, which Dwayne didn't mind a bit. He found it funny actually. Plus, the fact that Lilly got closer to demonstrate the chain was a lovely positive to this. He kissed her lightly on the top of her head, hoping that he wasn't overstepping boundaries, considering she had said she wanted a little privacy for the two of them.

"Corsets?" Tommy asked Lilly as if they were a torture device. "Don't those things like...I heard they caused more deaths of women in the olden days than the plague." Of course, he was exaggerating just a hair, but it was the truth! Okay it wasn't the truth, but really who could breathe in those things? "If there is contest for committing most to an outfit you might get it."
He chuckled as Angel had problems reconizing Dwayne's outfit. It was a little odd. "Maybe next time you should come in the tights," He winked at him teasing, hoping that Dwayne wouldn't be uncomfortable about it. "You two look perfect with each other. If I didn't know better I would say you matched. Maybe we should do that next year, baby," He said to Angel with a chuckle. While he did love the pimp outfit, maybe it would be more fun to be Angel's Prince Charming.

Angel giggled and returned Lilly's hug. He was way beyond jittery. But the nerves were working with the excitement, and it was creating a good feeling. He looked up at Tommy quickly and resisted the urge to bite his nails. Not like he could've painted them, anyway--that was a little harder to get off in the bathroom. "I got them from my sister's closet," he replied with enthiasum, placing a piece of wig behind his ear. he inwardly shuddered at the though of corsets. Angel would love to look like a girl and all, but that was one thing he couldn't wear. Not a tight one, anyway.
"...Oh," Angel nodded slowly. Clark Kent? That one went over his head. He'd never even touched a comic book in all his days. "But we do match! Pimp and Slutty Snow White!" he protested, taking Tommy's hand. "I like it anyways."

Lilly couldn't help but laugh a little bit at Angel's obvious onset of hyper. Fortunately for him (her?) he was still on the good rush of adrenalin. Hopefully it would keep itself up. "Ahh, sister's closet. You can find the best things in there. For example, if I had wanted to be a skanky cheerleader for Halloween (courtesy of Cindy, of course) I most definitely could have been. And I meant feet corsets, not stomach ones! My feet really hurt!"
"I don't read comics either," Lilly added, recognizing the look on Angel's face. "But I did watch that one movie. With Kate Bosworth in it or whatever. Good one." She giggled at Angel and Tommy, who were currently brimming with cuteness. "Pimp and Slutty Snow White. Why didn't we think of that, babe?" she asked, turning to Dwayne.

Dwayne raised an eyebrow at Tommy's response to Lilly's complaints. And all this time, he thought he was the only male in the world who would make a comment like that. "Actually, I wouldn't have been surprised if they did. Thank goodness it's not that sort of corset. I'd rather not have to take my girlfriend to the emergency room tonight, thanks," he responded, internally shuddering at the very thought.
"Yeah, nice try Tommy, but that's not gonna happen," he responded to the suggestion of tights with a smirk. That was just something he wasn't about to do, even if you paid him. Believe it or not, he wasn't that fearless. Needless to say, he was much happier with the latter statement. He glanced at Lilly and then thought about his own costume. In an odd way, they did go rather well together, something you wouldn't expect. Then he laughed at Angel's answer, saying how he and Tommy did match.
"Skanky cheerleader? Now somehow, I can't picture you wearing that..." Dwayne responded, trying and failing to create some sort of mental image. Not that it really mattered. This costume was much better anyway. "Same with us as the Pimp and Slutty Snow White. Tommy and Angel, however, pull it off nicely, even if slutty's a bit harsh. It's too nice of a costume..."

"Well...I like the bubblegum fifties look better," Angel assured her. It really was adorable. He wasn't sure if there was gonna be a costume contest, but he would definitely nominate Lilly, among a few other people.
"Red fishnets? Short skirt? That makes it slutty in my eyes, I;m sorry. And I;m aloud to say that, I picked it," Angel added with a giggle. But it was okay, because somehow two great minds thought alike. or maybe they were just both equally crazy. One or the other. But as it was he though he and Tommy went pretty well together. (In more ways than one but that was a given). "Hmm. The only superhero movie I've seen is Batman..." he trailed off, biting his lip. Angel had known deep down for a while that he was gay. Batman certainly didn't detract from that idea...

"Thank you," Lilly said again, repeating her little curtsy. Apparently, it had been a good idea to wear this dress. Go figure. If only the shoes weren't so uncomfortable.
She'd never really been a fan of comics, or comic books for that matter, but that didn't change how she felt about Dwayne. She wondered what his kryptonite was. Maybe if she shaved his head...but that was Samson. Different story entirely. He obviously didn't come from another planet, so that was going to be a tricky one to figure out. Lilly glanced over at Angel, who was lost in thought over her own superhero. Or Batman. She wasn't quite sure which.

Dwayne nodded in agreement with Angel's statement. For some odd reason, the fifties look worked for her. Not to say that another look wouldn't have worked for Lilly. Just about anything would have, most likely. But this was special, or at least he thought so. He had to grin when Lilly curtsied. It was completely unlike something he'd expect her to do and yet it was impossibly (there was no other word for it, despite it not doing Lilly justice) cute.
He let out a chuckle when Angel called her own costume slutty. He had seen much worse, but that was neither here nor there. "Hey, let it not be me to stifle your opinions regarding your own costume," he assured Angel, lifting up his hands in mock surrender. Then the subject went to the only superhero movie Angel watched. "Would you believe that I was never big on comics either? I was brainstorming a while ago and my mother decided to intervene." Was that an embarrassing fact? Damn right it was, but Dwayne figured that it didn't matter that much. "It goes to show that the things you don't know about your parents, you either don't need to know or would rather not know. Or the second could lead to the first."
By now he had noticed how pensive his girlfriend seemed at the moment. He was tempted, but decided to leave Lilly to her thoughts for once. After all, there was a reason that thoughts couldn't be heard unless someone spoke them; for the sake of having your own secrets.
