Penny nodded, squeezing his hand lightly. "You were really worried that I wasn't absolutely elated?" She grinned widely, her arms going around his neck again. "Why wouldn't I be? That's like me being worried that you were going to pull away."

"I think they're slightly different. At least a little bit." Kyle's wide grin grew even wider. "But yeah, I was a little worried. But for lots of things, not just that."

Penny thought for a minute and then nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I guess they're a little different." She couldn't help but blush a bit. He had the most amazing smile. She bit her lip a bit at his statement. "Well, are you still worried?"

"No. Not worried anymore." Kyle brushed a finger over her slightly red cheeks. "What's wrong, Penny? Is everything okay? You're gonna get me to worry again."

Penny giggled a bit, loving the feeling of his finger on her face. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just...well, you know you have an amazing smile? I just seem to blush easily today." Oh, and it's so hard to believe? she thought, smiling weakly.

Now it was Kyle's turn to blush. "Umm...thanks, I guess. Wonder why, hm? You never struck me as a blusher. If that's even something you can be categorized as."

Penny laughed a bit. "I'm not entirely sure. But if it is, I can see why." She could feel herself being more and more comfortable by the minute. Like she was supposed to be there with him.

Kyle laughed too. "So...practice, or no? Or should I drive you home now? What time is it? I completely lost track...." he admitted.

Penny smiled weakly. "Join the club on losing track of time." She glanced back, her eyes widening. "5:30 already?" She bit her lip. "You know what? I think it's time for me to get home." She glanced toward him, still smiling. "So yes, I think you should drive me. Thanks again..." She only just realized that she hadn't let go of his hand.

Kyle smiled back, not letting go of her hand either. He led her down the stairs behind him, still holding her hand. "You know which car is mine, so we won't have to worry about that. And no problem. I mean about the whole car thing."

Penny followed gladly, still smiling widely toward him. "Yeah, I guess so. I still appreciate it, of course." Somehow, it seemed like nothing was going to bring her down ever again so long as she kept her thoughts toward Kyle. It was a truly comforting thought, really. She squeezed his hand lightly.

"I'm only disappointed that you live so close." Kyle laughed lightheartedly, pushing open the door and holding it until Penny walked through. "You look happy. That's a good thing. A really good thing, actually."

"Try to drive slow?" Penny suggested as she walked through, a light smile shining through. "And I am. Extremely happy. And I'm glad you think it's a good thing." Closing the door behind them, she couldn't help but give him another light kiss.

Kyle smiled. She was so cute. "I'll drive slow. When's our next tech rehearsal, do you know? I don't even know and I'm leading the sound and light crew. That's a problem."

Penny smiled weakly. "Just a little bit of one" she admitted. "Anyway...I think it's on Friday. Oh, and did I mention I'm relieved that you're planning on driving slow?" Despite her being sure that nothing could bring her down, she had been very wrong before and she figured the longer it took to get home, the less likely that would be to happen.
