Carson Davis was so excited about her audition. She walked to a seat and sat down till her name was called. It was only a few minutes before someone called out her name. She walked to the stage and stood in the center. "I'm Carson Davis, freshman, and I'm trying out for any role." She paused and then she began her monologue. "Hodel, oh Hodel, have I made a match for you!" she looked over to where she imagined Hodel would be standing and like she was teazing her. "He's handsome, he's young, all right, he's 62." She made a face like "This is so exciting for you", "But he's a nice man, a good catch, true?" She looked like she was asking her but then answered herself, "True. I promise you'll be happy, and even if you're not, there's more to life than that, don't ask me what!"
Then Carson looked to the other side, like Chava would be there and began the second half of the piece, "Chava! I found him, won’t you be a lucky bride. He’s handsome, he’s tall. That is from side to side," she motioned for side to side, "but he’s a nice man a good catch right? You heard he has a temper, he’ll beat you every night. But only when he’s sober. So you’re all right! Did you think you’d get a prince?" She smiled out into the audience and said "Thank you." She then walked off the stage, happy she got to audition.
