(i...think caroline is in this class...haha *checks*)
Brittani breathed a quick sigh of relief, glad to have remembered what Caroline told her. Extremely glad. She didn't need to be late again, even if she still had an excuse. She didn't like being the new kid in school. She was determined to figure this school out as quickly as she could.
She walked in and sat down in the desk the teacher pointed out.

Eric trudged into math class, even more unhappy than usual to be there. He hadn't seen Lilia at all that morning and was a little worried. He knew she didn't have to keep him informed of her every move, but still... he did worry about her. He made a mental note to call her at home at lunch if he still hadn't seen her, just in case she was sick or something.
Slipping into his regular seat, Eric tossed his books onto his desk, grumbling to himself as he flipped through to todays assignment.

Looks like someone might actually hate math more than I do...thought Brittani. She had always hated math, always. In turn, she never did very well in the class, either. It looked like this year wasn't going to be any different.
She dug through her backpack and pulled out her notebook, opening it to an empty page. She then dug through the smaller pouch to find a pencil and then directed her attention back to the teacher.

Caroline walked into the room still trying to peel off the paint from her fingers. She was never a clean painter and would let the paint dry on her fingers...so usually she would pick it off during Math. It was a way to keep her awake anyway. She looked up and smiled recognizing Brittani, the new girl. She also recognized her "favorite" senior. Who should she sit next to? Pretty girl? Grumpy, annoying jerk?
"Hey Brittani. I didn't know that we had a class together," Caroline said sitting next to her. "Your first class not too painful I hope."

"Oh hey!" she exclaimed, immediately perking up, "Me either."
She smiled, "Nah. Honestly, I dozed in and out." she admitted, waving her hand lightly as she spoke.
Maybe I'll have a reason to look forward to math class after all, she thought.

"Well that is a pleasent surprise then," Caroline said wondering if she should bother to take out her notebook. But then Miss Dale gave her a look....that was enough of an incentive. Caroline pulled out her notebook. "As pleasent as math can be anyway."
Caroline laughed quietly. "Yeah well...I never found science too interesting either. Unless we're making ice cream. We did that once in middle school. It was pretty awesome...the only thing I really remember...I think I blocked the rest of it out."

"Yes it is." she said, trying to hide how relieved she actually was.
"Ah, middle school...not my best years." she sighed, maintaining her smile.
(sorry it's so short X| i have to sleep soon)

Lilia smiled and walked over to an empty seat next to Eric. She noticed that Brittani was on the other side of her, and Caroline on the other side of Brittani. "Hey," she said, smiling at all three of them just in general. "So having a class where you know no one is absolutely mortifying."
Lilia pulled out her notes from the previous class period and sighed. They were a bit of a mess, at least by her standards. She sighed as she waited for the bell, occasionally turning and smiling at Eric.

"Hey." replied Brittani, turning to face her for a second, "Tell me about it! And I don't think I've ever been so bored in science."
Though...I wasn't really bored...just daydreaming...she thought.

"Yeah, I don't think anyone has fun in middle school. Those were my coming out years, not fun," Caroline said with a shake of her head. "It's fun when people don't even know what a lesbian is...they don't know why they're picking on you...." She paused wondering if that was a good conversation topic...
"Hi..." Caroline shrugged at Lilia's comment. "I've had a lot of those. Just boring...then you gotta amuse yourself." Like she did during Acrylics. Wondering if Joanne even liked her...

Eric scowled, sinking lower into his seat as he saw Caroling enter. She was in this class? Why hadn't he noticed her last time? Of course, he knew why. He'd been too busy flirting with Lilia. His eyes darted toward the door, hoping to see Lilia enter. If Caroline was going to be in this class... he didn't know if he'd be able to make it. He glanced over at the girl in question, noticing her talking to a cute blonde. Oh God, he thought, rolling his eyes a little, Must be her girlfriend. He scowled even deeper. Not only would he have to spend the class with Caroline, but with her queer girlfriend, too. Where was Lilia?
Finally, he saw Lilia walk in and his mood lightened instantly. He smiled at her as she sat down beside him. "Hey," he whispered, grinning, "I was worried you weren't coming." When she spoke to Caroline and the other girl, he frowned just a little. Was Lilia friends with them? He wondered briefly if she actually sought out gay people, but immediately pushed that thought from his mind. He had promised her he wouldn't bother them around her, and he'd be damned if he was going to break that promise. Smiling at her once again, he shifted himself in his seat so that he couldn't see the two other girls any longer.

"Yeah, same here." she said, "But there were so many people saying they were bisexual, so everyone thought I was following the crowd."
So she isn't straight? thought Brittani, Good to know.
She noticed Eric seemed to be getting more irritated, but didn't really bother with it. She didn't know him, so she didn't need to bother with it. She was having a good conversation.

Lilia smiled at Eric. "Why wouldn't I be here? I've already missed one day of classes, and I certainly don't need to miss any more," she replied. She reached out and took his hand. "So, how bad is it? Do you still need help in here?"

Caroline raised her brow. "Really? We must have gone to very different schools. But that's cool...I guess I should have gone to school in Tennesse." So she was bi...Caroline bit her lip. You're with Joanne...even if she doesn't really...like you. You're with her. So be content.
She looked over at Eric and tried to give him the biggest smile that she could manage. Then Caroline waved and turned her hand around to give him a pleasent middle finger.

"Yeah, a good three-fourths of them changed their mind. It was a weird trend." she said. She paid close attention to Caroline's reaction to her sexuality. She didn't expect much--she had only met her that morning--but she was curious. She saw Caroline bite her lip and smiled faintly. (and that's actually something that happened at my middle school /
