Angel changed quickly, ignoring the rest of the boys. Were they talking to him? He wasn't sure. Saying he was too thin, too short, unathletic, a complete and total fag? He had no clue. He hummed some radnom tune under his breath as he threw his civvies into a locker. Today was gonna be a good day. he was sure of that. He wasn't gonna let it be any other way.
How could it not be when he had gym class with Tommy Collins?
He pushed open the changeroom door and toom a seat in the middle of the floor, the smile never leaving his face.

Lilia sighed as she walked out of the girl's locker room. She'd forgotten to change the clothes in her gym bag, so all she had was the tank top she'd worn to go running with Eric. She was uncomfortable, knowing that she wouldn't be able to hide all of the scars on her back. She sighed and walked over towards where Angel was sitting; for now, he was the only person in the class that she knew.

Tommy changed slowly and hoped that the clothes wouldn't be too smelly....hopefully not. He sniffed into the bag and winced. It was pretty nasty..."Wonderful," Tommy pulled out the clothes from the bag and pulled out his spray deoderant to try and battle the smell. With a sigh, he pulled on the gym clothes. Hopefully he wouldn't smell too much that Angel would want to run away from him.
Tommy walked out of the locker rooms and smiled gently seeing Angel. "Hey," He said to him quietly sitting by him. Then he noticed that Lilia was there too. "Oh...hi too. Sorry."

Angel waved to Lilia as she sat down. He didn't know her too well, but she seemed nice. And he was just in a good mood. He felt like showing it off, like revelling in it. If that made the other guys laugh, so be it. At the moment he just didn't care.
Angel's smile deepened as he spotted Tommy. "Hi," he said quietly as Tommy sat with him, and leaned over to tighten his shoelace. The instant smile that came over his face...it made him feel like a dork. A lovesick dork. But he didn't care.

Lilia smiled at them. "Hi Angel. Hey Tommy," she said, sitting down next to Angel on the gym floor. She sighed and watched the two of them. It sort of made her miss being with Eric. She sighed as Miss Loretti blew her whistle and started to tell them what they would be doing for the day.
Lilia sighed as she was paired up with a girl she'd never met before.

Tommy waved to Lilia and looked over at Angel with an amused smile. It was kinda of odd. Going back to the scene of the crime. Not that he minded it at all...Tommy thought that he would now have a new scence of appreciation for gym class. If nothing else, it helped him find Angel.
"Pair up," Miss Loretti called out pointing to the pairs that she wanted them to be in. More like the students who were sitting close to one another...easier for her that way. "Partner sit ups." She blew her whistle.
Tommy grinned up at the gym teacher. "Thanks," He said randomly. The gym teacher raised her brow but ignored him to move on and force other students to work together.
He looked back at Angel and shrugged. "Maybe we'll explain it to her one day. Wanna go first? Or me?" He asked putting his feet out to show he was ready if need be.

Angel bit back a giggle as Tommy thanked Loretti. He hadn't expected him to actually do it! Well deserved as it was. He grinned at Tommy once Loretti left.
"I think we should. I mean hey, it is thanks to her," Angel laughed, shrugging slightly. "Umm...you can if you want. Do I just hold your feet...?" he asked, a little unsure.

Julia walked out of the locker room, and entered the gym. She was a couple minutes late, but being new, it probably wasn't that big of a deal. She walked over to where everyone was gathered, and looked around at all the new faces, searching for potential friends. She didn't want to be a loner the whole school year.

Lilia smiled at this new girl. "Hey, I'm Lilia," she said. She pulled down her shirt, hoping it would stay down while they did sit ups. "So, do you want to go first or should I?" she asked. She sat back down on the gym floor.

Tommy chuckled nodding. "We'll explain it to her one day. I wonder what her reaction will be..." He left the thought knowing that it didn't matter very much. Just as long as it didn't effect his relationship with Angel it didn't bother him. Relationship? The term seemed kinda...odd to Tommy. But he knew it fit the two of them.
"Yep. Well I don't really care if I go first or not but...sure," Tommy lay down with his knees up in the sit up position and waited for Angel to hold down his feet. "I never understood the thought process behind this. If you're gonna cheat at sit ups you're gonna cheat period. And it's sit ups...not like it's a test or something."

"I think she'll be happy for us...hopefully," Angel shrugged. Lorretti ran prayer club, but he had no idea of her stand on the issue. It had never come up in the approxamately one meeting he'd actually attended. Good thing too. He wouldn't be able to explain walking out too well to his father if he found out.
"I've never understood gym class, period," Angel shrugged. He held Tommy's feet, making sure they were flat on the floor. "I mean, I understand they want to keep us healthy. But it just seems a little...embarrasing," he shrugged. Or at least, it was embarrasing for a skinny, effeminate, Latino boy. He'd never put stock into how 'macho' he was. In fact, he preferred to steer away from the stereotype. But some of the other boys seemed pretty intent on the idea...and they were the ones with the cruel words.

Julia smiled, "Julia. And I guess I can go first, to get it over with. Unless that was your plan...?" she laughed a little bit. She sat on the floor, and rolled up her sleeves to make her arms a bit cooler.

"That's perfectly okay with me," Lilia replied. "Personally, I want to put off the torture for as long as possible," Lilia replied. She held Julia's feet down for her, pulling down her shirt as often as she could. She wasn't ready to have that conversation with anyone else yet; telling Eric how she'd gotten all of those scars was hard enough, and after what she'd had to do since moving to Scarsdale she was ready to just blend in.
Lilia shook her hair out of her face. "Gym class sucks," she muttered, smiling at Julia. "At least, it does if you aren't an athlete."

Tommy nodded to Angel. "I would think so. I don't really see her...being all mighter than thou. At least she'll smile and say that's great...I think so. Who knows what she'd really be thinking but that's my prediction," He said as he pulled himself up from the ground up to his knees.
"Yeah," Tommy said as he reached his knees. "It...can...be....creul. But...I...liked....it...in...middle school....it....helped....me....realize...." He let his back fall down onto the ground. Despite his atheletic background he was never too good with sit ups, "What I liked. But I suppose that goes into the embaressing factor sometimes don't it? It also depends on the group your with." He added not moving to switch places with Angel.

"Yeah. She'll probably be happy for us. Happy-ish. I have no clue," Angel sighed watching the teacher pass by for a second. He barely knew her. Had no idea if she'd be happy or not. But he supposed that in the long run it didn't really matter. They were happy...and he was pretty sure she couldn't start treating them differently. At least, he hoped not.
"Yeah. That was a pretty big part of the embarrasment factor," Angel sighed, holding Tommy's feet as best he could to the ground. "Are you okay? Time to switch?" he asked, looking down at Tommy.
