Stevie streached quickly before starting off on a jog around the track. One of the reasons she joined the track team was it made her feel that is she ran fast enough the problems couldn't catch up to her. Of course, they problems always did, but for a little while at least, they didn't. She completed one lap around the track and then realized someone else was there.

Cathrine walked angerly; not really caring where she was going. What was up with that Stevie girl! She started the whole thing! She insulted her! She didn't even noticed she had walked all over to the track and bumped into someone. "Watch it loser!" she said, the groaned as she looked to see who it was.

Stevie was jostled out of her jog when someone bumped into her. Damnit it was the girl from before. Not wanting another episode, and simply wanting to continue to run, she hissed out and apology."Excuse me." Stevie grumbled, making to move around. She was having a bad enough day without having to deal with this girl again.
"Excuse me, step aside." Stevie said again, when the girl didn't move.

Cathrine gasped in offense. "Again acting like something's my fault when it's YOURS! Watch were you're going, freak!"

"You bumped into me, but whatever, please step aside." She said again. The last thing she wanted to do was get into it again. She stepped around the girl. "Your gonna get trampled if you hang around on the track." She warned the girl. She double checked both her shoes were tied, and took a deep soothing breath.

"Only because you were in my way!" Cathrine said, tossing her blonde hair, "Who the hell do you think you are anyway treating me that way you did!?"

"The world does not revolve around you. You need to smarten up before something bad happens to you." Stevie said with a roll of her eyes. she took off at a slow jog. She usually went slowly to begin with and then picked up speed as she went. she highly doubted the other girl would follow her.
"Just what I need round two" she muttered to herself. It was bad enough that her brother freaked out when he found out what had happened at Smitty's. She had omitted alot, mainly who the girl was, and how she knew her, but he was her big brother, and he was worried, which meant he freaked out.

She turned to face the girl, her face stoney. "There's a lot of bad things that happen to people who don't deserve it." She said quitely, looking at the girl. "I may not like you, but that doesn't mean I want anything bad to happen." She told her honestly.

"Right," said Cathrine, rolling her eyes, "Sure...whatever, I-"
A loud ambulence siren stoped her...she raised her eyebrow as she saw the direction it was coming from..."That's weird," she said, "My nieghborhood is right over that corner." She pouted. Did poor old Mrs. Winterchester die? Awwwww......she was so nice...always gave her cookies...well, Mrs. Winterchester WAS 90, so, at least she led a fuffling life.
Then, her cellphone rang. "Dad?" she said, her eyebrows raised when she put the phone to her ear. As he keept talking, her face paled and her mouth gaped........."Oh.......my...God........" she said breathlessly

Stevie was about to turn away and continue with her run, but when the girls face paled, she found herself rooted to the spot. She wanted to wrench herself away, and say the girl wasn't her problem, but the good in Stevie wouldn't let her go.
"Cathrine?" She asked quitely.

"WHAT!" Cathrine snapped at Stevie. No way was she saying what she just heard. THe girl would probably just smirk and say that she got what she deserved. "It's none of your buissness what just happened!"

"Alright fine." Stevie said putting her hands up in the surrender position. "If you feel like talking, I'll listen." She said. She was torn. Should she go back to running or should she stay with Cathrine? The girl made it pretty clear she didn't want her there, so Stevie began a real slow jog.

"You WON'T listen," Cathrine said, "In fact, I think you'd be happy hearing this news." Might as well say it now and get this over with. She toke a deep breath, trying not to cry very hard and said, "My mom just died in a car crash..you happy?"

Stevie was next to the girl in a second, searching her face to see if this was some sort of joke. At the distress there, she knew it wasn't.
"I'm so sorry." She said quitely. "Is there anything I can do? Do you need a ride home?"
