Caroline stared at all of the rows and rows of books. She was beginning to hate them. Books. They were great when she was little. Plenty of pictures and just enough text to inform you. But none of this 500 pages worth of just words. What was the fun in that? And those were the books that she needed to use.
"Shiny," She muttered under her breath. It also didn't help that she was too short to reach the top shelf. "Ok...Miss McGyver...how are you gonna pull this one off?" Caroline took a deep breath and attempted to climb up the shelves carefully.

Angel thought for a moment, trying to choose someone else to call. Caroline, maybe? It might've been strange...considering he didn't know her nearly as well as he knew Mimi. But after his day with Tommy, he felt so ecstatic that he could talk a mile a minute. Besides, she'd been pretty interested during still life...
Grabbing his phonebook, he quickly dialed Caroline's number, thanking god for seperate phone lines.

Caroline looked down at her back pocket that was currently vibrating. "Either someone likes me or it's my phone...yep it's my phone. I should have known..." She carefully got down from the shelves and only managed to hit one book that came tumbling down onto her foot.
"Ow ow ow ow ow," Caroline picked up her phone, "Ow, hello?" She boucned up and down on her leg holding the foot that was hit by Lord Byron.

Angel bit his lip hard as he heard Caroline, and knew immediately it was a bad idea. Wasn't it? She sounded...in pain. "Hi...um...it's Angel. But if it's a bad time, I'll call back," he added. "I mean...are you okay?"

"Oh Angel?" Caroline smiled deeply. She was hoping to hear good news the next day, but hearing it sooner was better...unless it was bad news. Either way she was going to be there. "Oh no, honey, it's ok. A book just fell on my foot. A very...pleasently plump book," She said looking down at it and glaring.
"What's up, sweetie?" Caroline asked. "How did it go?"

"Oh...sorry," Angel said quietly, his voice hinted with a small laugh. If it was for school...he could relate. Teachers seemed to think that the thicker the book, the better. Which wasn't always the case. With a smile, he remembered the book tommy leant him...he'd have to read that.
"Oh...yeah. Yeah it went great," he knew the smile could be heard in his voice. "I'm sorry, it's just...I usually squeal to Mimi, but she wasn't home...and I felt like I was gonna burst."

"No worries," Caroline said hicking the book up into her arms. "I think my foot will recover. It's a little tingly at the moment but if I don't get feeling back into in a few hours I'll go to hospital and get it amputated." She giggled making sure that Angel knew that she was kidding.
Caroline smiled deeply and felt like squealing herself. "Did it really? Oh Angel that's great! And you can burst all you want to me I'd love to hear all about it. In detail, mind you. It's all about the details." She put Byron back in his place and leaned against the stacks.

"Well...talking to me is worth it," Angel added with a small giggle, his smile widening. He paused as he thought he heard footsteps coming up the stairs, but shook his head. Probably his imagination.
"Well, it was just....amazing," angel sughed, trying not to gush too much. It was hard to control, though. "He's amazing."

Caroline laughed and then turned to see Mr. Curry giving her a nice little glare. She waved to him and gathered her belongings. "I'll say, Angel. My toes are important," She ran past Mr. Curry and ducked into the girl's bathroom where she could be as loud as she wanted.
"Aw Angel...amazing, huh?" Caroline asked biting her lip in excitement. "That's so great! What happened? What you guys do...well in moderation of course...unless you want to share it all and I would be more than willing to listen."

"Yes of course, but talking to me is even moreso," he laughed, the smile on his face widening a bit. What had he been worried about? He should've known caroline wasn't gonna bite his head off. He relaxed a little, leaning back against the headboard.
"Well, I mean...we just...we had a great time," Angel said, a blush spreading over his cheeks just thinking about it. "I mean, there was a...complication...but it really seemed small compared to the whole day."

"Exactly. I mean I have ten toes but only one Angel. It makes sense mathematically," Caroline giggled hoisting herself up to sit on the lip of the sink. "I'm just glad you called me. I've been wondering how your...meeting...went all day. Or can I call it a date offically...or not so much?" Caroline asked with a frown. She never really liked to label someone's sexual orientation, but she with Angel...it was kinda hard not to tell. That didn't mean that Angel was ready to actually go out and say it.
"Oh Angel, hun, you gotta give me more than that!" Caroline protested. "I mean let go. Tell me everything. Beginning to end. Did he hold your hand or kiss you? I'm living vicariously Angel I need the details...and I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't mind sharing...but if not than tease me some more."

"No...it was a date. I mean, we did date...stuff...." Angel said quietly with a small smile. He paused as he heard his father talking to Anna. "By the way...if I start calling you Grandma just go with it, okay? Just a precaution."
"Well, he might've held my hand....might've kissed me," the smile on Angel face got even wider and the blush got a bit deeper. "But then again, he might not've."

Caroline giggled furiously. "I can do a pretty awesome old lady impression. I'll do you proud...but yeah. A date. Great. Date stuff is good," She said smiling deeply. A girl walked into the bathroom and raised her brow at her. Caroline just waved pleasently as there was nothing special. The girl wrinkled her nose and walked out. Caroline sighed to herself, no wonder she had so many issues working out her own dates.
"Might have!?" Caroline practically screamed out. "Angel!? Do you want me to die from the suspense?!"

"Ooh...well, if you hear someone you know isn't me, go for it," Angel laughed, stretching his legs out infront of him. "Or...well, basically say anything. Long as you don't mention my date with a boy, we're good."
"Well...okay, fine. We kissed," he smiled, the laugh in his voice evident. "But, I mean, that's as far as it went...it was sweet," he blushed a bit deeper. Doing it was one thing...talking about it was quite another.

Caroline frowned to herself. So that was way, he wasn't out to his family. Caroline felt the need to give him a pep talk but she decided to put it on hold. Lecture later. Gushing now. It was more fun anyway. "Ok I'll make note of it."
"Aww...was it your first kiss?" Caroline asked interested as she had yet to be kissed yet. She'd gone on a few dates...forced dates with Eric. And understandably so there were no kisses that resulted from those nightmares. "So was he a good kisser?"
