"I'm sure I'll see your name. You'll be really good at whatever you chose to do." she grinned warmly. When Caroline asked what kind of law she was interested in or disinterested in she balked slightly. "Ah maybe family practice or defense. I don't know yet. Maybe even corporate law." She shrugged. "I'm not sure. It all seems interesting so far." When Caroline asked her if the seats she picked were alright she nodded.
"This is fine." Joanne nodded.

Caroline blushed slightly. It was nice to have absoulte support. Whatever she did? Yeah, Joanne was going above and beyond the girlfriend niceness it seemed. "Ok...ignorance is kicking in. What's defense and corporate law? I think I get family law though. That's like child custody, divorces and stuff right?"
"Okay," Caroline shuffled into the row and stopped in the middle so they could look straight ahead at the screen. "Okay...here we are..." She carefully placed the drink in the cupholder between them.

"Defense as in a Defense attorney. If someone was put on trial and they plead not guilty I would defend them. Try and prove their innocence. Corporate law, is more in the business aspect of it. A major business needs lawyers to make sure no one can take their ideas and claim it as their own." She shrugged. "And your right about family law."
She followed Caroline into the row and settled down next to her. "Good seats." She told her with a smile.

"Oh..." Caroline blushed slightly. That was something she should have figured out on her own. "I umm...I didn't know that it was what it sounded like. I thought that was too...you know. That a lot of people did that. But I guess...it's more complicated than that huh?" She nodded with a small smile. "At least I got that one right."
"I'm glad you approve," Caroline smiled and slipped down slightly into her chair. "So you a fan of trailers?"

Joanne smiled gently. "It's not a big deal." She told her. "Yeah sometimes things sound like they should be one thing, but end up being something completely different. I'm not sure what I want to do though, so it might not be any of that." Joanne shifted her position slightly, before smiling when Caroline asked if she was a fan of trailers.
"Sometimes." She admitted. "Sometimes they look great, and then sometimes they take way to long and I just want the movie to start."

Caroline nodded with a small smile. "Yeah like how platypuses look like ducks but not really they're mammals...." Then she paused and shook her head. "Sorry. I got simple things on the mind. I was trying to get Jonas to talk earlier. I thought platypus would be a fun first word. Don't you think?"
Caroline giggled. "I get you. I like them though. Good for people with short attention spans. Kinda like...they get you ready to watch the movie." Then she shut up and stared at the screen. Why did everything out of her mouth sound stupider and stupider?

"That would be a fun first word." Joanne laughed her face growing warm. "My first word was damn." She said shaking her head. "I guess my parents said it to often around me and I picked it up. Not their favorite story to tell though." She shrugged. When Caroline said she liked previews it was like getting you ready to watch the movie she nodded.
"That's actually a really good way to look at that." Joanne said thinking about it. "I never thought of it that way."

Caroline's face lit up. "Really? Wow...that's...that's impressive," She laughed quietly. "I can just imagine a cute little you...swearing up a storm. I bet that must have been hard to explain to the grandparents." Caroline shrugged when she thought of her own first word, "My mom never told me mine. My dad either. But I like to believe it was walrus."
Caroline sighed and giggled. "Leave it to me to make things seem to be nothing of what they really are."

"Oh well my dad's parents thought it was hysterical and told it to all their friends, however, my mother's parents, were so beyond mortified that whenever I went to visit I was advised not to speak." She shook her head rolling her eyes. "Walrus would be a very neat first word as well." She told her with a laugh.
"Yes leave it to you, to point something out I never would have thought of." Joanne said with a laugh.
((Katie I'll need to wrap this up tomorrow, I need to start getting ready for guests coming in, wedding and honeymoon))

Caroline smirked as Joanne told her story. She could just see an older woman using a big word like "advising" on an infant and expecting her to understand. "Poor baby Joanne. I hope that it was walrus...just cause," Caroline giggled and then looked up at the screen as it turned to the trailers.
She smiled and pointed. "They're on."

Joanne turned her attention to the screen when Caroline pointed grinning. She titled the bag of popcorn at her. "Popcorn?" She offered. She watched the screen intently as the first preview rolled by for Spiderman 3. Then the next for the next Harry Potter movie. She glanced at Caroline.
"Do you watch those movies or read those books?" She asked referring to the Harry Potter trailer. The next trailer was for a new thriller, and she suppressed the urge to roll her eyes at the predictability of it.

Caroline smiled. "Thanks," She grabbed a handful and picked them out one by one and popped them into her mouth. "Oh I tried to read the books a while back but you know with school and everything. Just kinda don't have the time. I've seen the movies though. Mostly on tv. They're pretty good. I can't help but get a tiny crush on Hermione though." She admitted with a giggle.

Joanne laughed. "Really?" She asked with a grin. "I've read the books, but never watched any of the movies, I was afraid they wouldn't be as good as they books. Thought I have to read them at school, cause my parents apparently think it's the devil for some reason." She shook her head at the mere thought of how utterly ridiculous her parents were.
The last preview ended and the theater darkened. Joanne popped a few pieces of popcorn in her mouth, making sure to keep the bag close to Caroline as well.
"Here we go." She whispered with a grin.

"If Harry Potter is the devil then I don't wanna know who Voldermort is. That could get complicated," Caroline said winking at Joanne. "The movies are cute...you should give them a try."
Caroline nodded and giggled. "Don't you worry, Joanne. If you need a hand to squeeze I'm here." She looked up at the screen and watched the film although half of her thoughts were still on Joanne.

Joanne nodded. "Maybe I'll look into renting them one day when my parents are out of town. You could come watch them with me." she said with a grin. The movie started, and when Caroline offered her hand, Joanne took it immediately.
"Never hurts to be prepared." She said by way of excuse to hold her hand. The movie was enjoyable, if not startling and she had only squeezed Caroline's hand once in the last hour they had sat there.
