"So, the left it is." agreed Brittani, following after Dwayne. Luckily, the left actually looked promising. It would not have been good if nothing was over there. How dumb would she've looked? "Some photographer she is." Ha. That'd be interesting.

Dwayne snapped a picture of a squirrel running away from a rather large black lab. He wasn't usually big on animal shots, but it was too good to pass up. He glanced down at Brittani and smirked a bit. He could see that she was relieved that there was actually some good photo subjects here. As if he would really care. If he did, it'd make him seem rather shallow, wouldn't it? "Good choice in direction," he commented, awaiting her reaction.

Brittani smiled as Dwayne took his picture. Damn, that was good. she thought, looking around the area. She spotted a bench that looked photo-worthy to her. SO, in order to get a different perspective, she stopped and laid down on the ground and set the camera in the grass. "Instincts." she replied, tapping her head, obviously joking.

Dwayne raised an eyebrow as Brittani lay down, but at the flash of her camera, he could see what she was doing. "And excellent instincts at that. I'm impressed." He could tell they were probably going to be friends by this time. Maybe he could restore what there was of Caroline and Brittani's friendship in the process. He'd be more than happy to do it.

Brittani rolled over and sat up, "Why thank you." she replied. She stood up and brushed herself off a little. Eh, a good picture's worth a few grass stains. she thought. She continued walking, looking up at the sky as she did so. It was a very good day for pictures.

Dwayne smirked lightly. If he had a dime for every time he had to dust himself after taking photos on the ground, he'd probably have enough money for a good half of a college tuition. It'd be nice, really, but it was worth it even without the nonexistent dime. Either way, Brittani seemed experienced at this, possibly more than he was. Needless to say, he had to ask. "You seem to have been doing this for a long time. When'd you start taking pictures?"

Brittani smiled and turned back to Dwayne, "I started when I was eleven, so a little bit more than 5 years now," she answered. Wow, I didn't even realize it had been that long. Geez, get a life Brittani. she thought. She walked slowly backwards while waiting for Dwayne's response. Hopefully he'd tell her if she was going to run into something. At least, he seemed like the type of nice guy that would.
(Oh wow, 3 pages! Go us!! xD I never even noticed.)

((Definitely go us. )) Dwayne smiled. "Ah, we started around the same ages. I got my first camera on my tenth birthday and used up all the film in about two hours," he remarked. Glancing away from the photo he was taking of a bird in a puddle, he noticed Brittani almost walking into a bench. "I suggest you stop for a minute, unless you like being thrown off your feet."

(oh yessss x3)
"Lucky you." she laughed, "I didn't get my own camera until I was almost thirteen."
Only because we 'didn't have the money for a camera'. she thought. She stopped as Dwayne warned, then turned around, "Being thrown off my feet is alright...just not by a bench," she joked, "Guess I should walk normally."
Brittani turned back around and walked next to Dwayne, taking a quick look at his camera. That's a nice camera. she thought.

Dwayne smiled sympathetically. "To be fair, my aunt always spoiled me and she somehow figured out that I'd love it." He shrugged; he never could understand how his relatives always seemed to know what he'd like and what he wouldn't. He sort of wished he wasn't so easily read, but it didn't seem to work out that way. Well, at least he didn't hide anything. That was always a plus.
Dwayne chuckled at Brittani's reaction. He had to admit, he liked how she seemed to "go with the flow", as his mother would put it and then cause him to roll his eyes or laugh, depending on the situation. "That'll probably be a good idea. No good photo is worth getting seriously hurt." He then thought for a minute, wondering if he could really mean that. Well, he supposed it depended on the degree of the injury. He smiled knowingly as he noticed Brittani looking at his camera. "You like it, I'm guessing? Yours is pretty nice too."

"Ah, the psycic family member. Always useful, and much better than the grandparents that give you clothes you liked 3 years ago." stated Brittani, laughing at herself a bit. If only her parents had picked up that quickly.
"Depends on the circumstances." she said, "Of course! I've actually been looking into buying it for myself. My camera's getting old."
Of course, getting that new camera meant Brittani was getting a job. She didn't want her mom spending any more money on her than she had to. She liked earning her things, especially when it came to photography; she liked that sense of accomplishment.

Dwayne chuckled. "Yeah, you can definitely say that. Although my grandparents have yet to actually do that, thank God. My mother's one of the few who still keeps in contact with her parents, so she keeps them clued in," he explained. Having close family members had its advantages. Still, he was getting suspicious that the closest ones might not have been as close as he had always thought. He hoped it was just his paranoia.
At her response to his statement about photos and injuries, he nodded. "You know what, you're right. It could be worth it sometimes. Like if you're taking a picture of something that no one's ever seen before and you just so happen to be on the edge of a cliff." He wasn't sure how that scenario entered his mind, but it actually sounded exciting.
"Ahh, I see. I hope you'll be able to," he responded when she said she was going to try to buy a new camera.

"Aw, lucky. I've actually gotten old clothes from my grandparents. I tried so hard to be excited." she laughed, "That's cool, though. That your mom keeps them clued in and such."
"Yes, exactly!" she said, smiling at him, "Sometimes it's worth a few injuries, and it provides for an interesting story." she added.
"Me too. I just gotta find a well-paying job near home." she said, "And then I'll be in new camera heaven." she laughed.
By 'new camera heaven', she meant walking around the aisle at the store looking at all the cameras she could buy. Along with add-ons and other accessories.

Dwayne winced. "Oh, fun. I wouldn't have been able to do that. I may be proud of my honesty, but that sort of hinders my acting abilities, particularly around family members." Again, he was so glad that his relatives were clued in on those sort of things and that his mother cared enough to keep them clued in.
Dwayne grinned and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Pictures are great, but they're even better with a good story behind it." He remembered when he was about twelve and he'd show every single photo he took in a week to his parents and talk animatedly about what happened when he took said pictures. He had outgrown that, but telling the story behind the photos was still fun when the oppurtunity arose.
Dwayne couldn't help but smirk at her phrase "new camera heaven". It sounded nice, actually. He just never heard that particular one before. Brittani officially had brownie points for creativity. "Yeah, finding a job's always the hard part. I hope it works out."

"I can only do that kind of lying; you know, to keep them happy." she said, "I'm not the kind of person who spouts off lies all the time."
"Oh yes, that might possibly be my favorite part. I pretty much have a mental novel, or at least a good essay, behind all of my photos." she said, smiling, "Though not many people are interested in hearing them."
"Yeah, thanks." she said, suddenly holding her camera up and snapping a picture of him. She laughed to herself.
