Dwayne rolled his eyes. "The second one. Definitely not going to happen anytime soon. That subject's been discussed." He then laughed a bit. "Anyway, we're doing great. Better than great, actually." He was probably going to start rambling soon.

Caroline covered her mouth and gasped. "My my Dwayne. Have you started to have physical relations with her? Wow I'm jealous," She added with a frown. "Joanne and I haven't even kissed yet. How fair is that? I just don't wanna...she's so much classier than I am. I mean...I'm the type that just...well I don't know if I'm the type..." Caroline shook her head. "I'm just...getting antsy. I'm not asking for tongue. That's ok. But...just a little smoochage would be nice...." She paused realizing that she had ran at the mouth again. "Sorry."
Caroline smiled. "I'm proud of you. I really am."

Dwayne listened with mild interest. Something about this conversation was definitely drawing his attention. When was the last time he and Caroline really discussed their love lives? He was a bit surprised when she apologized. "Oh no, don't apologize. I find it intriguing actually." He then frowned. "And no, I haven't started. Just kissing. No need to feel too jealous of me." Maybe Lilly was right when he said people envied him? He rolled his eyes good naturedly. He raised an eyebrow. "What, that I can commit to someone? It is so shocking?" He was joking of course. For one thing, he doubted she meant anything bad by it. Second of all, it wasn't like it wasn't true.

"Intriguing?" Caroline asked with a raised brow. "Well...I hope you know it now...that Joanne and I will not be making out in front of you for your pleasure. Maybe just cause it happens one day but not because we want to amuse you," She added with a smile knowing that it was all in good fun.
"Kissing is enough to be jealous of," Caroline nodded. "Especially when your last kiss was Garth Ferintay in third grade and on a dare. I think that experience alone may have 'turned me.'" She said using quotation marks with her fingers. "Yep it's shocking. I'll have to call the school newspaper and let them know," She teased.

Dwayne raised an eyebrow and smacked his forehead a bit. "Caroline! You know I'm not like that! Sheesh!" He rolled his eyes good naturedly and shook his head. "Anyway, you know how I am. I find other people's lives interesting. Hence the whole "I want to be a journalist" thing."
Dwayne then winced. "Ahh, fun. And no need to call 'em. I'll tell them myself. I'll talk to the editor to see if we can get an article in. One of the perks of being a member," he responded with a smirk.

"Uh huh...I know your true passion. Your true goal in life..." Caroline waved her hand. "My teasing inspiration moniter just turned off. I know you're not like that. Which is nice. Something that most males lack. Niceness..." She shrugged to herself.
Caroline laughed heartily and clapped her hands. "Aw, Dwayne. You make me laugh. And I do expect to see that article soon. I'll even put it on my refridge door and show my baby brother. That's how proud of you I am."

Dwayne grinned slightly. "Thanks Caroline. I appreciate that." After all, how horrible would it be if your own best friend didn't think you were nice? He then chuckled at her statement. "Well thanks. Glad to know you had faith in me. How is your brother, by the way?" That question was asked in all seriousness, of course. He knew how much Caroline cared for Jonas.

Caroline giggled and nodded. "You're more than welcome. I love to compliment you. As often as humanly possible. With a few teases thrown in there of course," She smirked. What kind of best friend would she be if she didn't tease him here and there? "He's ok," Caroline said quietly. "Just got over being sick. So you know. I'm just trying to keep an eye on him. Hopefully this whole pitt thing won't interfere with him being cared for. I tried to work with my neighbor but I don't know if she's gonna come through...so if your fiddler is suddenly down one trumpet, don't be too surprised."

Dwayne nodded with a wide smile. "And I wouldn't have it any other way." That was one of the best things about his friendship with Caroline. Every second with her was full of banter and love that you tended to only find between siblings.
He then frowned softly. "Well, Jonas' lucky he has a good big sister like you. Anyway, I'm sure everyone will understand if you miss a rehearsal. Family comes first, after all..." Now if only someone would let his parents know. They seemed to be fighting more lately.

Caroline laughed quietly. "Good. Cause I wouldn't change even if you wanted me too," She said winking at him. Sometimes, she wished that her and Jonas would one day be as close as Dwayne and her were. But there was no telling. Maybe he'd be a loner. Maybe he'd run off a join a band and only call on holidays. But she really hoped that they would be close.
Caroline smiled gently. "Thanks. I like hearing that sometimes. And you're right. They'll deal...." She looked up and caught the look on Dwayne's face. "And how goes the house of Mitchells?" She asked quietly.

Dwayne chuckled a bit. "Oh, I know you wouldn't. It's a good thing too, because if you were willing to change for people, I'd have to make sure you hadn't completely lost your mind." Caroline changing just because of what people thought would be like him throwing away his notepad and camera.
Dwayne then sighed a bit at Caroline's question. "Oh, it's going fine. My parents are just fighting a little more than usual. Nothing major. It'll blow over." He smiled weakly. "Lilly, unfortunately, had to see a little bit of it. Not exactly something I wanted to have happen."

Caroline giggled with him. "Yes, in that case my mind would offically be lost in some dark void or something. Would you go save it?" She asked waving her legs in the air again. The littlest things amused her sometimes.
Caroline frowned but nodded understandingly. "I'm sure she understands, Dwayne. It happens in everyone's family some time or another." She reached out to tug at his shirt sleeve. "You know if you ever wanna talk about anything I'm here. I can turn off the sarcasm. Just for you though."

Dwayne chuckled. "Of course I'd save it. Can't have my best friend lost in a dark void." At the very least, he could joke a bit.
Dwayne smiled weakly. "She knows, trust me." He wasn't about to say exactly what he meant by that. "I still don't like that she had to see it. I appreciate you willing to talk to me though. That would be one time when no sarcasm would be a good thing in my book."

"That would be very sad if you did. I would come back from the dark void to hurt you," Caroline decided with a laugh.
"No one wants to see anyone fight. But it does happen. People fight, the world still turns," Caroline sighed, "As horrible as that sounds, I really do have a point. And just let me know." She nudged him in the arm.

Dwayne sighed a bit. Luckily for him, Caroline was just as honest with him as he was with her. Not to mention the rest of the world, but that was another story. "I know Caroline, I know you're right. It's just...well, she has to sort of deal with something similar and it seems like I dragged her into more of this crap. Yeah...just me beating myself up as usual," he tried to say light heartedly.
