Tommy smirked. "Thanks so much for the one," He chuckled and ended up getting ice cream on his face because of it. "Don't worry. If you're in the bathroom, I'll make sure to get the dancing out of my system. Don't wanna embaress you too much." He wiped his face with the corner of his sleeve, but missed a drop on his cheek.
"Anna?" Tommt asked searching his memory for such a girl. If she was a senior, he should know her. "Hmm...I'll have to pay attention to who is in my classes more often. Oh no, I'm an only child. I would love to have siblings though. Someone to keep me company. Not that I was totally alone, I had my pet turtle Kermit."

"You're very welcome. Don't take it personally...I wouldn't want to be around anybody who insisted on doing the...what were the other ones? They all sounded horrible if I recall," he laughed. "You missed a spot," Angel pointed out. He took his napkin and gently dabbed the icecream off Tommy's cheek.
"A turtle? I love turtles!" Angel exclaimed happily. "They're one of the only reptiles I can actually stand. Do you still have him?"

Tommy bit his lip, he was enjoying the slight attitude that Angel was showing. Then his amusement was cut off by the contact. Sure it was just a napkin. But still, his face burned in a blush. "Thanks. I'm pretty messy...and don't worry. I don't take it personally...I think it was the sprinkler and the cabbage patch. Both classier than the running man. I wouldn't worry."
"Do you? Yeah I loved him. Oh no, he's gone now. At least he disappeared last year. So I hope he's a running...or walking free turtle in Scarsdale. I hope so. He might be wandering around the house though. I used to leave out lettuce leaves just in case," Tommy said with a small smile. "I would get a new one but when I go to college, I doubt they would like him in the dorms...so I'll wait til I'm a sophomore and hide him or her in my closet."

Angel couldn't fight the smile that came over his face as Tommy blushed. He was cute when he blushed. Could this boy do anything that wasn't adorable? Even the horrible dancing was endearing. "No problem...the sprinkler? Do I want to know what that looks like?" Angel asked, laughing.
"I'm sure he made it...turtles are probably smarter than you think," Angel shrugged, then inwardly groaned at how dumb that sounded. He took a bite of icecream. "Rebel, rebel," he said with a grin.

"Actually I think it might be called something else," Tommy said thinking about it for a moment. "It's when you put your hand behind your head and keep your elbow out," Without a thought, he was demonstrating the beginning of the dance. "Oh..yeah I probably shouldn't embaress you here should I?" He asked with a chuckle.
"Well I hope your right. Maybe I should leave out lettuce again. I'm sure my mother would love that," Tommy rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Yeah I try to be a rebel. Live up to David Bowie. And it shouldn't matter anyway. If I'm going to their college I'm paying them for an education, then why couldn't I do what I want? And have the company that I want."

"Okay...that's not quite as bad as I thought...but then again, there's no possible way it could be as bad as I'd though it was," Angel grinned, shuddering playfully. "I'm not really that embarassed...it's funny," he admitted.
"Exactly...it's not like a turtle's gonna get into any real trouble. Did you keep him in a cage, or what? I mean I can see them not wanting dogs or birds...but turtles?" Angel shook his head.

"The imagination is always the more frightening the truth. Though the running man may be the exception to that rule," Tommy smiled to himself and then went back to his ice cream cone. "You know...I need more ice cream in my life," he decided suddenly.
Tommy nodded. "For a while. I kept him in the cage for a while. But then I kinda felt bad for him. A mean...he was a turtle. What was he gonna do? Eat the drapes? I made sure to pick up after him before my parents got home. Maybe that's why he kinda...ran off. I gave him too much freedom...naw I don't think that's possible."

"Well...as long as you don;t come decked out in full jogging wear to match, I think we're okay," Angel grinned, before a vwery important thought crossed his mind. He had nothing, absolutely nothing to wear. "Hey...is this a formal type thing? Or semi-formal? I haven't been paying that much attention..." his eyes narrowed as he tried to visualize the clothes in his closet, really hoping there was something...
"Don't eat icecream alot?" Angel asked with a laugh, biting off a bit of the cone. "Guess the cookies and cream is good, huh?"
"Maybe he's still in your house...you never know. Then again those things don;t move too fast..." Angel bit the inside of his lip, really hoping that would somehow stop him from spouting off stupid things.

Tommy laughed and placed his hand over his mouth hoping not to loose any sprinkles or cookie pieces from his lips. That wouldn't be very...flattering. He gulped down the contents in his mouth and nodded. "Don't you worry. I don't think I would be caught dead in a jogging suit. Umm...good question. Oh yeah, it's semi-formal. I came in jeans after my freshman year, I forgot to bring nice pants after the game....they kicked me out. But I snuck back in."
Tommy nodded started to chew on the cone. "It's very good. Yeah, my parents go out to eat a lot, so we don't have much desserts in the house. And I haven't been here in a while," he said looking around the place.
"Yeah he might be...but you're right. He doesn't move fast. Not like he can duck behind a book case or something when he sees me coming. Unless he's turned into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle..." Tommy paused thinking about that option. "Which would be awesome."

"Oh yeah...the game. I don;t even know who they're playing against," Angel said with a laugh. He'd never been much interested in football, though he had to admit, some of the players...he would've probably melted at the site if the little voice in the back of his head hadn't constantly reminded him what idiots some of them were. Some of them. But a select few, like Tommy...yeah, they could make him melt. Not that he'd voice that thought. "I'll figure something out...I've gotta have something."
"We should come here more often," he agreed. And it wasn't until after he'd spoken that he'd realized he'd said 'we'. A small blush rose onto a face. "I mean, you...unless...you know, you want to come here more often," he shrugged.
"That would be pretty cool. It could happen...maybe..." Angel trailed off, a small smile on his face. "I mean, it's improbable, but...not impossible."

Tommy waved his free hand. "No need to. It's all stupid anyway. The game. Cheering for a bunch of guys who are only there for glory...ok I'll spare you that talk since you've already heard my opinion on the football world. But yeah, the players even know that the dance is more important."
"Have something?" Tommy asked not following. But then it hit him. "Oh yeah. I'm sure you do. Nice pants and a shirt that doesn't have a mustard stain on it. I think that's the main thing. At least that's what I'm gonna do," He explained with a shrug. Actually getting a full on suit would be a hassle. The only suit jacket he had in his closet was from when he was fourteen and his grandfather died. He was pretty sure that it didn't fit.
Tommy could only smile at Angel and think how utterly gorgeous he was. Just a little smile seemed to brighten up the room. And just a little blush made him want to kiss his cheek. Kissing...I don't think I'm ready for that yet... "We could come here. If I haven't scared you off..."
"Not impossible," Tommy nodded in agreement while licking his fingers free of the melting ice cream. "That would be cool though wouldn't it? Then he could be our body guards...and we could be all cool. And look he's named after a famous artist...Kermit the Frog. Right up there with Leonardo Di Vinci."

"Yeah...to be honest, I've never cared for football. I couldn't tell you the difference between a quarterback, a rookie, a goalie, anything. In fact some of the positions I'm thinking of aren't even from the same sport..." Angel said thoughtfully, a small laugh threatening to bubble up. "But it doesn't really matter."
"Yeah...I think I've got that," Angel laughed, nodding. "Considering I don't even like mustard."
"Nope...you're not scary...don't worry," he assured Tommy, biting the inside of his lip to try to keep the blush down. His face felt hot. While he didn't feel nearly as nervous as he did normall with people he barely knew, he still felt a little awkward. "Sorry I;m so...I don't know. You know..." Angel trailed off, and groaned at how little sense he was making. "Like this," he said finally. It wasn't exactly eloquent, and he could only hope Tommy wouldn't give him a weird look and have to go.
"Anybody who could write something like Rainbow Connection is right up there, don't worry," he agreed. "Kermit's the only frog I won't run away from."

"That's alright," Tommy said with a shrug. "You really don't have to understand it. I'm pretty convinced that most of the football players don't even know what they're doing beyond catch the ball, run with the ball, touchdown." It was the truth, he remembered some practices when their less than smart linebackers would run the wrong way. "And yeah you mixed a few up in there. Don't worry though. I won't tell. And I agree, the mustard is not the mightest condement."
Tommy watched Angel stumble over his words and blush. He placed his ice cream cone in the holder that the booths provided and took Angel's hand again. Trying to comfort him. "It's ok," Tommy said simply. "I'm kinda nervous, too. But it's ok. We're ok."
"You're scared of frogs?" Tommy asked with a small smile. "I'd protect you...as long as you protect me from fish."

"Probably not...don't forget tackle. They seem to do that one alot," he pointed out. "It's just...it's doesn't really make sense. No offence," Angel added quickly.
Angel sighed softly as Tommy took his hand, and placed his icecream beside the other. The senior's hands were warm, and comforting, and...and it was strange. He'd been fine without it for awhile, but now that their hands were back together again, he didn't realy want it to ever end. Angel nodded, and gently placed his other hand over the two.
"Yeah...we are. We're doing fine," he nodded. If Tommy was nervous, he hadn't noticed. Or maybe there were just so many butterflies in his stomach that he'd overlooked it.
"Fish? Even little guppies?" he asked, tilting his head. "Of course I'll protect you."

"None taken," Tommy said without any sense of hesitation. "I like the game, doesn't mean you need to. And it's not my favorite anyway. You are right though, tackling is the big important one. Get out that male agression and jump on top of things. Whenever a guy was pissed off on the team, the words spread like wild fire. Cause then you'd know to stay away. He was gonna hit extra hard that day." He paused suddenly remembering what Catherine was threatening to do. What everyone could say about his football career. Just a chance to see and touch other guys. While he thought that some of his team mates weren't bad looking, he never had any feelings for them. But the moment that Catherine's word would get around...people would assume.
This train of thought was muffled when Angel placed his other hand on top of Tommy's. His whole body seemed to deflate of tension. Everything would be ok. He knew it would be. Tommy looked up at Angel and smiled deeply. He didn't think he would be finishing his ice cream any time soon.
Tommy chuckled quietly and nodded. "Their eyes freak me out...thanks. You should have seen me at the aquarium sophmore year. I was on one of my friend's lap the entire time. I doubt he enjoyed that."
